Re: Why RAF Boscombe Down?

Any one know which military bases can handle 747 400s aside from Brize, Fairford, Mildenhall, Lakenheath, Marham and MoD Boscombe Down, does not look like the commercial airfields can afford the disruption Doncaster, ex RAF Finningly, 747 Cargos are in and out quite regularly, plus the airports not...

What's happening in Sheffield today?

I'm not too far away, and in between the showers the skies are blue so I'll keep an eye and ear out.

Re: "Spider" and Flamborough track maps - sought / help

Many moons ago on a previous incarnation of Fighter Control, and at one time Aeroresource, there existed a map / diagram showing all UK air to air refuelling areas. This map also included the Spider and Flamborough tracks. I've searched for these unsuccessfully. Could anyone help / supply a copy? M...

Re: BBC Licence fee

Apologies but am i the only person who finds Graham Norton annoying!?? 😂 No your not alone. I'm sure many love him but I find him and many other talentless "celebs" irritating. Hence I don't watch TV much, in fact if it wasn't for the Mrs watching a few programs the TV would be gone along with the ...

Pillock of the week
"Pillock" I've not heared that word for a while.

An old (non swearing) friend used to use it occasionally, and if he got really agitated you got a "Blooming" from him.

How things change aye, nowadays people use swear words like commas.

Re: How crap is Windows update?

All I want from my computers is stability and security. With Windows 10 is as you say it's far too bloated with "useful" programs that I have no intention of using, and the worst part is some of them can't be removed, Having unwanted programs on my machine that I don't want isn't the best way to ens...

That's a sad sight to see, but at least the pilot walked away from it unlike the 2001 incident with this aircraft.
