Re: Non-exercise ops on Thursday 12th?

Been in the south at the 02 end actually. Was just insecure wether in vain or not, was all. Some absolutely rockin‘ take offs. Made it to Fairford just in time for the second wave of B-2s. Has been my best day so far, closely followed by yesterday due to the gorgeous evening light at Waddington.

Re: Tuesday 10/9

How is it a good day to visit if there‘s no NOTAM? Means no flying I suppose?!

Re: Viewing Guides

I think everyone on here already did. Those maps are great to check the viewing / photographing spots but our questions were were to PARK A CAR when travelling from afar. Any parking information is not visible on the maps in the stated link.

Re: Ex Cobra Warrior parking restrictions

Went to Waddington today and found that Stepladders were tolerated base side of the A15. Just keep back from the fence itself. A few persons were removed from between the traffic lights by civilian Police. Just don't go past the traffic lights and you will be fine. Unless that changes of course!! R...

Crap, that could basically mean anything and nothing. Pity but doesn't change that we are left only with hope and prayer then hihihi.

Letova Aktivita is now saying that "arrival of foreign aviation technology is on Mon 2 Sep 10am - 2pmCEST(=9am-1pmBST).The most intensive flying activity will be on 4-6 and 9-11Sep."
from Ample Strike website
That at least DOES sound promising. Lets hope for the best.

Re: Exercise Ample Strike and Bomber Task Force General Questions.

Thanks for opening this thread. For folks like me on the continent it#s a little hard to keep tabs on everything. I wouldn't know what to do without FC. If anyone gets word out of today's (Friday's) press conference about the probable duration of their stay in the UK it would be most appreciated if ...

Re: Ex Cobra Warrior parking restrictions

Sounds like a plan, I can't get there until after 9am on Wednesday so will be heading to the south of the field as well for the launches, might see you around. Mike That would really be nice. I hope I'll be there between Sep 9 and Sep 11. Thinking about trying my luck in Fairford on Sep 10 in case ...

Re: Viewing Guides

Dear gentlemen, may I ask .... I've only ever visited RAF Fairford during the Air Tattoo so have basically no idea where to leave the car without causing trouble outside this time frame. Can anyone provide me some spots, where I could leave my car if I wanted to go to the spotting area in the north ...

Re: Ex Cobra Warrior parking restrictions

Thanks a ton for the quick reply. O.k. then Harmston is a no go. Are there any public accessable car parks / spots in Waddington village?
I thought the layby on the B1178 was cornered off for the exercise?

Re: Ex Cobra Warrior parking restrictions

If I may ask; if one would want to give it a shot and try to take some photos during take off from the A607 running south west of the runway, is there any chance to park your car along the A607 or in / around Harmston? I don#t want to run into trouble or cause trouble making my way there in the firs...

Re: Waddington and the A15 (Photos)

The southern (02) end is looking like its a no go area. The layby is already closed off, with many cones and barriers with signs further down advising Farm access only, the local farmers have been advised to report trespassing as well. Its not clear how the police will take to people walking down t...

Re: Waddington and the A15 (Photos)

Many thanks Mike for the effort and posting images. For a first-timer like myself that is 24k gold. Much much appreciated. May I ask; I'd love to catch the machines upon take off rather than approach (not that I wouldn't be happy to catch them at all however!). Just in case they will go out southbou...
