Re: USAF Certifying F-117s To Receive Fuel From KC-46s

Interesting story, especially given there are photos from 2022 of an F117 with a KC46? Photo thread link below:

California Spotting (Lemoore)

Hi all, Would be great if someone was able to help me with spotting in California - I'm hoping to make it to Point Mugu and Lemoore during my time there. Point Mugu seems pretty straight forward, but I'm struggling to find any information on where to spot for Lemoore. I hoping to get down there for ...

Re: Cobra Warrior 23-2

Hi, Could you post a link to the press release please. ‘The US Air Force has told Key.Aero that RAF Mildenhall is to host 17 Lockheed Martin F-16CJ Fighting Falcons from the 480th Fighter Squadron (FS)/52nd Fighter Wing (FW) at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany.’ https://www.key.aero/article/first-ov...

Re: Cobra Warrior 23-2

This may just be some wishful thinking of mine (sorry!). I saw there was a press release a month back stating the SP were taking part in Cobra Warrior. But with those 3 or 4 C17 flights into Mildenhall the other week from Shaw AFB, could it be they've switched from SP F16s to SW F16s? I would've tho...

RCH4127 (10-0215) & RCH4555 (02-1107) heading NE out of Andrews. Most likely connected - possibly UK bound or Lithuania for NATO conference

Just wondered if anyone had heard any updated news about this… as we’re quickly approaching Spring 2023 - was stated as the start on the drone ops?
See coasties post earlier.
Ah yep sorry completely missed that somehow! Thanks for the heads up

Yet another version of participants!

Think that's the fourth different one I've seen now 😂
Damn was worth a shot. Hoped this would be more similar to what people were expecting
Only a month or so now... you'd think these participant versions would be narrowing down

Scramble SIS currently have Cobra Warrior Participants as:

Exercise Defender 2023 (Germany)

Just been reading this link from Scamble regarding exercise Defender 2023 (bottom of the page). https://scramble.nl/planning/sis-summary Whilst this may just be rumoured numbers (or I'm reading it wrong!), its hinting at 32 F15C/D, and two groups of 12 A10 and 16 F16s from the USAF, as well as many ...

Initial transmission from the tower was 041 but pilot stated they were 048. All subsequent tx's were 048.
Ah that explains it! Thanks for clarifying

RCH041 was Fridays c/s, today it was RCH048.
Not being rude here but are you sure? Was fairly confident I was hearing RCH041? I might need to get my hearing checked if not 😂

Re: Two more US F-35 Sqns to the UK

That is what this thread is discussing! I personally think it reads that the two Squadrons of F-35A are to be based in the UK - the 493rd and 495th Fighter squadrons. Classic political manoeuvre to present something already happening as a new contribution. Undoubtedly the piece talks about more sol...

Re: Two more US F-35 Sqns to the UK

Presuming this is only a temporary deployment. Lakenheath could easily manage 2 squadrons, as only 14 of the 50 F35s have been delivered so far. Wouldn’t these two additional squadrons be temporarily based there until the 493 & 495 are at full capacity. Can’t see them deploying 2 full squadrons eith...

Equipment

Spotted lots of gear in the south-east loop today (where they often prepare the gear for deployments), with enough gear for 5-6 aircraft. Guess we can expect a deployment soon. Unsure if this is bomber related, or an ACE exercise
