Re: Saudi F-15SA deliveries

12-1063 to Royal Saudi AF - 5/18(via Lakenheath) was marked 2913 at the World Defence Show in early 2022. Thank you very much, Tony, I've just updated it. Who knows, maybe one day we'll confirm every single one, and then maybe try and work out the Qataris as well  Then there's the challenge of...

Re: Possible Deployment

It has a crest on the front section on the right side (I couldn't read it last night but I think it's an Eighth Air Force crest), it also had Lucky Lady IV nose art and 8AF/Mighty Eighth on the tail.

Re: Possible Deployment

I'm hoping there is a chance we might get tail number 029 with the special test and evaluation scheme from Barksdale. 61-0028 (not 029) belongs to the 49th TES and is "OT" coded rather than "LA" or "BD", so the chances of it deploying are effectively zero. Which is a HUGE shame because it looks abs...

I believe it diverted back to Sigonella after a lot of circuits over Estonia
It's currently still airborne over Estonia. All being well it should be into Fairford between 21:30 and 00:30 tonight straight off the back of its mission.

is this the start of a baseing or just testing for the future RQ180 ?
It looks as if it's for testing purposes. The new hangars don't look ready quite yet!

Thanks Ollie for the corrections and the TU2s's I've been looking for those for ages.
I should add that TU-2S 80-1065 has been retired, along with U-2S 80-1066 & 80-1085. Both of these have been deployed to Fairford in the past few years.

Re: Deployment General Information

Not sure the last time we had more than four (back in B-52G days?) but you never know. There was 6 deployed in August/September 2020 and March/April 2019. I doubt we'll see that many again! In fact I have a photo of five at Fairford in 2020 so should have recalled that. We did have B-1s and B-2s co...
