Looks like Pyle Lane to me Alfie. Surprising what some sunshine does to photos!

If you are referring to the Rescue Merlin its from Norway
My mistake

I'd been looking at my photos of the Danish Merlin at RIAT prior to replying to this post - my eyes saw one thing and my fingers typed something else!

Re: RNAS Yeovilton - 15th August

Nice set Neil.

I saw a Norwegian Merlin fly over my work in Chard late afternoon, heading back towards Yeovil.

Edited to correct the wrong Air Arm :'(

Re: Mildenhall 352nd SOW

Agree with Paddyboy, a cracking set.

I managed to photograph one of the marked Ospreys during my recent week at Mildenhall, but no sign of the Herc.

Thanks Nick. Likewise, it was good to see you, Jo and Monty! Thanks for your comments too :thumb: Fairly sure I felt the air swish past my ear a couple of times, when Paddy was in full flight  A few more weekends to myself, and then it's back to being a Jolly Green Giant at weekends. Let me kno...

Re: A week at Mildenhall and Lakenheath (July/August 2019)

Thanks Mike. Unfortunately, I won't be heading over. I'd love to, but my time off work is set by my employer (I get given a list of dates when I go back after the Christmas break) and due to the distances involved, it wouldn't make getting there and back a hectic journey. Having extra time off would...

Thanks both.

It was a great week. Shame we just missed the TXs as they left Lakenheath, but I still had a great time. Good to meet up with both of you again.

Re: A week at Mildenhall and Lakenheath (July/August 2019)

Hi Trevor.

Good to see you as well!

Happy with the photos I got from the week. The Saudis were a nice bonus, as was the arrival of the C-146 on the Friday morning.

Hope to return again next year, but that will be decided around the end of the year!!

A week at Mildenhall and Lakenheath (July/August 2019)

I spent from Monday 29 July until Sunday 3 August in Suffolk, photographing the comings and goings at two U.S. Air Force bases. Monday (Lakenheath) turned out to be long day, as I stayed there for the evening arrival of the Saudi delivery flight, though the heat haze affected most of my taxying phot...

Re: B52

Pretty much the same as the post by James above. The two engines have been placed near by, and what was believed to be a new B-52 engine was taken around the perimeter road on Thursday. Didn't notice any work being done from our viewpoint in Johns Field - but there was an Osprey blocking our view fo...
