Thanks. As my Grandfather crewed Shackleton's this was a labour of love to model an airframe he actually crewed.Kevin Brewer wrote: ↑Sun Jun 18, 2023 10:25 amGreat model of my all time favourite aircraft, thanks for posting!

Re: Revell 1/72 Avro Shackleton MR.Mk.3 WR971
Thanks everyone. The Shackleton is pretty special to me as my late Grandfather crewed them, and had a soft spot for them. WR971, the subject of this model was the only MR.3 he crewed, so '971 was a dead cert to depict. And one complete fuselage. Now onto the flying surfaces. https://live.staticflick...

Seeing as my late Grandfather was ex Lancaster air crew he was a W/OP. I take offence to that remark.GoldenEagle wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2019 12:55 pmBest thing about yesterday was the fact the Lancaster couldn't make it..

Re: RIAT 2007 a nostalgic look back
I was told that the larger sponsons on the Puma were for fuel to give the Helo extended range. And that this was going to happen to the entire Puma fleet, but as mentioned it never happened.

Cockpit with seat. The reason for the red brownish colour seat was because they were of Bakelite https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4916/44475463790_14baca4f62_b.jpg DSC_3813_12146 by Darren Greenwood , on Flickr https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4913/31353634477_377d629608_b.jpg DSC_3814_12147 by Darren G...

Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Mk.I
I'm building this for my baby Brother as the Spitfire is his all-time favourite aircraft. I will be building it as a Pre-war airframe with the two-bladed prop. I'm just waiting for a resin seat and some decals to arrive. And its also a long time since I've built a Spitfire. This is the Airfix re-too...

Shame there is no TE311 in that formation. But glad to see LF363 in there picking up the baton.
