Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2020 Discussion Thread

Is anything known yet about participants or when the first participants will be announced?
I might be a little too hyped though :P

Kuwait AF KC-130J at Maastricht

Went down to the south for the Kuwait KC-130 and also catched 2 KC-135 Arrivals at Geilenkirchen coming from Arizona. A lot of fog and low visibility made photography kinda hard, so enjoy what's here :) 1. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49416595616_a48f0d5936_b.jpg 62-3550 by Zonan Adolfse , on...

Re: Ramstein AFB 30-12-2019

Spot one, where I took the pics of the E8: Go to the threshold of runway 26, this is near the main gate of thw air base. You can park next to the road and then you walk a bit next to the fence, thats where i made the E8 departure shot. The arrival was also there, but not as far into the woods as the...

Re: Ramstein 30-12-2019 E8

There's still a little bit of an open place in the woods where you can get better landing shots, as long as you use a ladder to see over the fence and earth wall.

Ramstein AFB 30-12-2019

Hello, Took a chance to go to Ramstein today in some great weather. The day was pretty quiet, but at least the E-8 flew :) Sadly I didn't bring my ladder so the hill does make photography quite tricky. 1. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49306436462_da6b18eb7d_b.jpg 02-9111 by Zonan Adolfse , on ...

Night flying base visit at Volkel Air Base 25-11-2019

Hello, Spotting group Volkel managed to get 21 members to get on the base for a photoshoot next to the line up and taxiway. First we went to the line up, where all 7 F-16s that would fly today were lining up together. Sadly two of them went to the other side of the runway, but got some shots here. 1...

GRZLY97 from PIK

Hello, Currently visible on adsb, fr24, rb24 is GRZLY97. No type or registration is being shown, but it is shown that it is coming from Prestwick, currently at FL230 heading southeast over the Netherlands. Judging the altitude and speed (230 kts) I'm guessing it is a C-130, can anyone confirm this? ...

Weeze 12-11-2019 Polish Air Force M-28 (by night)

Hello, had some fun today with the Polish M-28. The system showed that it would be standing on the main apron (while normally they place them at the GAT). This meant that I chose to go to the shelters in the southwest of the field, as I was guessing it would vacate the runway via Bravo, which it did...

Pilot Midas thank you!

Having a day off and knowing that an Italian C-130 was expected, I decided to go to Volkel. Too bad I missed the first wave departure, but the luck got me that they used 24L instead of 24R, which allows for way better pics  More bad news: The C-130 was the same one as I had seen a few weeks be...

A lot more to edit, but here some of my favourites for now. Hi Zonan,
Thanks for the pictures. Are the missing numbers for your A320 displayed at the top of the tail?
Freeman
Yup, thank you.
Someone on Scramble already said the special tail indicated it was 15+03, but indeed on the tail you can see "03" as well.
Thanks
