Re: LN parking - what's it like these days?

Went on Thursday for first time in ages. Considering all the hoo has over parking, I found it no different to any of my previous visits, with cars in all the same places

Sorry for being dim, but does that mean from 18:00 tomorrow, so still flying tomorrow until that time?

Re: Greetings

Thanks Mike, its specifically the F-22's that visited Lakenheath in April 2016. I'm just working through the folder. For example 05-4107 just displays 05-107 on the tail and I thought how do I decode which digits need to be added ? The CV-22's based at Mildenhall at that time would also be useful as...

Re: Greetings

Thank you. There is one burning question if I may, betraying my level of newb, I'm sure. But with USAF serials, is there a trick to knowing which digits are missing from the airframe, or do you just have to look them up? Trying to log my USAF spots has given me the biggest headache.

Cobra Warrior 2018

As part of my isolation therapy I've been going back over my old files and here are a couple I like from Cobra Warrior 2018. The two Tornadoes landing in unison was a particular thrill, with it being the lowest approach over the fields I've ever seen! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49459408838_...

First post-lockdown visit - CGY 20-05-20

Happy to lots of fellow spotters maintaining social distancing and out in force for our recreational activities on Wednesday. Here are a few of the shots from that day https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49919153071_0a51fcb6d1_b.jpg Spitfire Vc AB910 CGY 2020-05-20 by Wayne Bennett , on Flickr https...

The Bluest UK sky ever?

That glorious long hot summer of 2018 and all the airshows with an RAF centenary theme seem a lifetime ago now. This shot along the static line of RAF types is one of my favourites from then. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49309588722_106a85fbcb_b.jpg RAF static line up RIAT 2018-07-15 by Wayne...

ZM403 passing through Doncaster

OK, my first go at posting a photo so please be kind lol. ZM403 doing a missed approach at Doncaster recently. This was the first day I was allowed out and had hoped for some touch and goes, but at least I got it. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49894281221_ed9f55ae5f_b.jpg RAF 70 Sqn Atlas C1 Z...

Greetings

Hello, my name is Wayne and I'm a long time aviation fanatic from Rotherham, (for 48 of my 55 years) but only got into spotting and photography in the last 5 years or so. Yes, yes, I have missed SOOOO much in my time and don't I know it! I think I'm making up for lost time however and have built up ...
