I am planning to take elderly father to Lakenheath to see the F-35s next Friday.

Is there a good time to go to see them depart on exercises?

Any help would be great, and a morning time would be ideal.

Hi all, we nipped in Cambridge on the way home yesterday and the South African Herc was outside mixed amongst the ex RAF lot. Could help someone.

Hi All, just for info, we visited 6:30am yesterday and the French E3 was clearly visible from the WAVE road. Hope this helps someone.

Morning all, could somebody please confirm the x2 B1Bs on the pan last night. I read124 but not the other. Also does anyone know where the other x2 where parked. Couldn't pick them out of darkness for the life of me lol.

We are sat opposite the hangars at the moment @ 14:30.

167982 is parked under the control tower. It looks like it's being washed.

The other hasn't come out of the hangar yet.

Does anybody know when they are due to depart please. I don't have access to the secret blog.

Morning SUNJETDK,

I always go to Folly Rd, you get a great view of most of the pan. If you want a view of the front of the base I just follow the road round and there are dips in the fence where you can see across. That's how I saw the RC parked last night.
