Re: Greenham Common IATS - '77-'83
Fabulous Mick ! Never went to 77....I was only 10. I remember 79 for the Herks and for the rain...God it was torrential ! As a 12 year old I had to try to push my elder brothers Cortina when it got stuck getting off the field. Fortunately a couple of burly blokes took pity on me. The Fairford tattoo...

The following shots were taken as it depar...

Taken back in June 1995, this Spanish AF Canadair CL215 was seen at the Pollenca seaplane base in the extreme north of Mallorca on detatched duty for the wildfire season. For the record, the serial is UD.15-17 https://live.staticflickr.com/8593/16264945390_53433c2e49_b.jpg 431-17-pollenca by Jon Wic...

Tac Blaze Choppers at Carlisle - 29 March 2025
Just a few shots . not of the quality of any shown so far at Spadeadam, these were taken on my phone ! I had to travel up to the Cairnryan to Larne ferry on Saturday 29th and couldn't quite believe my luck that the Dutch choppers would all be on the deck - right time, right place ! Unfortunately, th...

A few from Marham
Taken during a visit in the afternoon that the Qatari Eagles left Mildenhall last week. Not quite as exciting, darker grey aeroplanes are always difficult to shoot. However, the place was more active than I have seen it in a long time with about 8 different F35s seen during a two hour stay. https://...

More photos of the Qatari departures from Mildenhall
I thought long and hard as to whether to post any of my shots.....Paul and Dave have beaten me to it and mine will be broadly similar as I was standing next to Dave and about 6 feet from Paul ! But then I thought......."They are Eagles....you can never have too many photos of Eagles!" Here goes http...

Re: Garden spotting OTT'ers
It wasn't really garden spotting as I was at RSPB Titchwell Marsh Reserve on the Norfolk coast, but MC130J 13-5778 was espied going over in clear blue skies at 8000' https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54382643203_9dbbd28f75_b.jpg 13-5778-MC130J-USAF-352SOG-67SOS-over Titchwell Marshes-120325 by Jon...

Re: Kukri 01 and 02 - Sleap Aerodrome - Weds 19th
The airforce has a deal with Sleap which is very similar to the one they had with Eshott before Northumbria Council bowed to a local objector and stopped it.

Kukri 01 and 02 - Sleap Aerodrome - Weds 19th
Having seen the photos of the Puma at Coningsby, also taken on Weds 19th it appears it was the day to get photos of RAF Helicopters out and about ! The weather in Lincolnshire appears to have been considerably nicer than it was in deepest Shropshire however! Kukri 01 (ZA704) and Kukri 02 (ZA679) arr...
