39 & 43 were first away at 1119hrs local, the other two followed 10 minutes later. From memory I thought the first pair announced on the RTF they intended to route north to Wick, then the Northern Isles then SW to Stornoway then RTB. It was proved some years ago that these serials were not FY64, but FY61. So, for example, '64-17979' should be 61-7979

The MOD letter to our local Moray MP gives the aircraft as E-7B Wedgetails...think it was assumed we'd get the original A model so will be interesting so what differences there actually are
