Re: Hello from Sleaford

Well at one time as I said I lived in Ruskington very near to Bill. I then moved to Horncastle, and I am still there. Yes I did organise trips for SDLAS. Re: Hello from Sleaford

Well, we have obviously met there. I lived round the corner from Bill. It was probably something to do with photography that he had the nickname of "Cropper".

Re: Hello from Sleaford

Welcome to this interesting and informative site. I'm just down the road in Horncastle. Wondered if you are aware of the Sleaford and District Legionnaires Aviation Society? We generally meet every third Tuesday on the first floor of the Legionnaires Club - only the next meeting is on the 11th Decem...

Glad to hear it John, but another winter to get through. I understand what you say, but it still looks pretty shabby close up.

XM607

Had a short visit to the station yesterday which included a vist to the excellent Heritage Centre and a close look at XM607. Not sure when I last saw the aircraft, but how sad to see the extent of deterioration in many places. Only to be expected as subject to all the elements. It will cost a great ...

Air Show in Lincolnshire

Just read that the RAF has agreed in principal to the RAF Charitable Trust to organise an airshow at RAF Scampton. The first of which will be September 2017.

Re: Food

In answer to romeo bravo, the burger man does in fact have a lease, for which he has to pay. He also has to take out insurance. The main issue is lack of information leading to a feeling of mistrust. The lease is due for renewal at the end of this month and usually this has been agreed by this time ...

Re: Food

It's the way it has been done which is upsetting. He was phoned this evening and told the MOD would take over providing food from THIS FRIDAY!!!

The RAF and the community - don't make me laugh.
