Re: F-15 crash 15/6/2020

Thoughts and prayers are with this young man's family & friends, here in the UK, and also back home in the U.S.A. Very sad day indeed
May he rest in peace

Re: Heathrow closure, Friday morning

Sorry, been a bit thick. What are the islanders used for if civilian owned and operated, but then why would they fly from an RAF base. Really interesting

**** Rumour **** B2 on Sunday

So i have seen a rumour on FB that a B2 is due to do another flyby at Fairford on the Sunday, so to quash or prove it, when would they (USAF) need to file a transatlantic flight plan like they did/do with the Buffs and Bones ?

'Tornado1' at Shawbury

Made a visit to RAF Shawbury to witness the 1st day of the Tornado retirement tour, Jets due at 1332, ran a little late. Listening to them talk to Shawbury advising they were going through RAF Cosford at 200ft, I was hoping they may have dropped lower for a fly through RAF Shawbury as an operational...

Re: MQ-9B Sky Guardian arrival at RIAT 2018

Not quite sure that it was an 'amazing achievement', seeing that the first crossing of the Atlantic by a UAV was August 21, 1998, 20 years ago!!. I would have been surprised if things hadn't developed since then!!!. :) [and a civilian aircraft on 'Fighter Control' tut-tut! :) :) I thought it was an...

Cosford from the platform

Not much to write home about, no Jets today, except for the typhoon who did two passes at 3000ft in the cloud, even though he had been given clearance down to 500ft. Nice of the NH90 crew to pause and pose in front of gathered crowd on the railway bridge; #1 https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1722/41777...
