Very easy to get to Sintra town by local train from Lisbon main train station doesn't take too long and the trains were very frequent and quite cheap from what I remember (was a few years ago though 2003). Further along the road (past the ford/bridge) the trees have been cut back, so its possible to walk onto the dummy airfield when no red flags flying. Visible were 8 x Mystere IV , 4 x T-33 and the SU-22

139/8-MR should be the Mystere IV currently visible from the road.

I was there today. The T-33 on the road in to Butterburn is still easily visible and not too far off the road. I then drove on through the ford at Butterburn to the spot where the trees have been felled. From here you can see an ex French Mystere IV. Then parked here and walked across the very boggy...
