SU-22s at Malbork - 17-19 September

Upon arriving in Poland on Monday the 16th, we headed straight to Malbork to find some jets on the ramp, including the twin stick in the old camo with a Tiger Meet special scheme, however all had covers on  so we headed into the town. On the Tuesday morning, the pan was full of ground crew and...

(Beware this has turned out to be a rather long post, but the best bits are at the end ;) ) Day 1: 8/4/...

Puma HC.2 visiting Headcorn for a refuel recently. Was great to chat with the crew and was my first time refuelling the type, and their arrival and departure provided some nice photo opportunities ;) https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53502937847_6383554a22_z.jpg ZJ955/X | Puma HC.2 | 28 Sqn RAF | ...

Very nice shots and the chances to get there anytime for any action pretty remote, but is this aside access or that good from outside. Cheers Rob
Cheers! This was from outside, been quite busy there for military lately, but equally you’ve got to be quite lucky to get any

I'm in awe of your dedication to reaching these locations, but speaking the local language is a distinct advantage. :thumb: Seems you got lucky with capturing these great shots & well deserved too. Just for your records, the appended detail to the 4047 jet is noted as 4077! (copy-paste from shot ab...

Re: Poznan Krzesiny AB 2-11-23

Hi Olie. There are 2 100th Anniversary 302 sqn jets 4047 WX the other one being 4050 QH . I take it that you were at the Western end of the airfield for these shots on the track that runs past the fence. I had been after a decent shot of these 2 for a couple of years but was very luck late November...

Piła Military Museum - Fitter shoot 4/11/2023

On the final day of our trip to Poland, we yet again went on a rather long journey, to Piła in North West Poland, to attend a photoshoot with a SU-22 which was originally based in Piła. Despite not flying since 2003, it was in excellent condition, and the museum were incredibly accommodating to phot...

Re: Poznan Krzesiny AB 2-11-23

Smashing Poland by train brilliant! How did you get to the fence - bus , hire car , taxi or shank's pony? Our general routine was to get a train to the nearest town and then take a taxi. In Poznan this was very easy as 'Bolt' taxis were available which are very cheap and can be ordered on a mobile ...

Poznan Krzesiny AB 2-11-23

On the Thursday of our week in Poland, we heard no MiGs were due up from Malbork so decided to go on a bit of an adventure and crossed Poland by train (surprisingly cheap and easy!) Upon arrival we saw the 302 Sqn Anniversary jet depart so we were looking forwards to its arrival, and within a few mi...

Great write up and some lovely shots there! Great to see some MiG-29's! It's also great to see the F-35's with some 'art' on them as it were :) Cheers for posting.
Thanks James, really appreciated the 35s looking a bit more interesting!
