Sorry to disappoint you guys but the hedge you can see is on the edge of the taxiway. Volkel has wire fences and steps are needed for ground shots. Even then the hedge tends to mask the wheels. Still worth a visit but not busy normally. I would recommend a visit to Eindhoven as well for KDC-10s and ...

As turmo says the Thrust vectoring on the raptor is is only single axis ie up and down. This was limited at the time by computing capacity, the simplest shape to achieve this is rectangular and it allows a simple "chevron" jet pipe outlet. Both serials correct by MK1 eyeball XX202 was unmarked, 332 was fully marked 100sq.
Pirate 18 had an American sounding pilot.

Cool Mark, even AV F16s and German Eufis look cool there. Particularly like the pods and other kit on the Heyl Havir jets.

All week on nights except Friday.
First after dark departure today was at 1804.
No activity most of the afternoon except two HH60's in STANTA returning at dusk.
No sunset shots today!

Great photos of my all time favourite! The "LN" F4 is not a 48TFW aircraft, but an F4C decoy ex Michigan ANG, if I remember rightly. One of them is now in the heritage park on base.
