The story I heard at the time (admittedly I was young) was that the turn back to Farnborough was more akin to a handbrake turn for those that can remember such a manoeuvre

Miss the Jag - very underrated and should have had more flying time at airshows in my opinion.

Remember seeing two F27s at Wonsdrecht in 1979 which were then operated jointly by Senegal and the Gambia although I believe they eventually returned to sole ownership of the former.

Only one permanent active military airfield in Scotland and that is Lossiemouth. Plus plenty of local golf courses for the crew to pass the time

Some real gems there and unlikely to be seen again I am afraid.
