IIRC Toning down commenced around late 1971/early 1972....they were all still silver when I arrived at Gutersloh, March 1970.

Not a great fan of drones with all the negative reports about, but used properly, I guess you could call me a partial convert!!...Being a resident, living just by the New Forest (Lymington) it was interesting to see the views of Beaulieu, very well done. If you are ever in the area again some views...

Last time I was at Gatow, 4 Squadron were still flying FR10's out of Gutersloh, and just beyond the perimeter fence of Gatow were numerous hairy ar$ed East German Border guards totin' machine pistols! Would love to get back there as it now seems to have one of the most nume...

Sad to see I know, cost was always an issue to keep her looking good, but at least the owner donated it's sister (XX763) to Bournemouth Aviation Museum where she lives on in better condition.
