Re: Will Sunak Survive Until The Election
Look at what is happening in Holland. Geert wilders party got lions share of the votes, but didn’t gain enough seats to form a government. Therefore he has to form a coalition with other parties. None of the smaller parties will coalesce unless he changes the policies upon which he was elected. Stal...

Re: Will Sunak Survive Until The Election
The trouble with proportional representation is that you always end up with minority rule. In order to form a government the larger parties have to form a coalition with the smaller parties who will always hold out for their minority wishes. Just imagine the UK policies being decided by the SNP or g...

Re: Some more F111's
Some great reminders of a base I spent a lot of time at, recording movements on 8mm cine film and later, video. One of those I recorded on the 11th of April'88, was an F-111E with a white EF nose - this was 68-0041/UH-red. I note the one in the image also has a red fin tip so it may be the same a/c...

Interesting, never seen a picture of one with a white radome, might make a different model.
Any idea of the serial number?
Thanks for sharing

Good to see that the most important piece of kit on an MPA is still the galley. Chicken wraps and not meat pies though
Happy days

First dogfight between newbie and boss straight out of top gun, not very original script writing.
Still at least newbie didn’t buzz the tower, and no interview without coffee!
Not too bad a programme, but my, how the RAF has changed in the 40:years since I left.

There were definitely some Canadian ones there in the late sixties early seventies.

Not much help but the good old Hilkinson Pancratic seems to be the weapon of choice Agreed, still have mine in its box, 19 shillings and 11 pence on the price tag, with another 5 shillings for the leather case. There are a couple of familiar faces, but the names escape me Happy days and memories. A...

Works fine for every other base in heads up. Absolutely no reason for Fairford to be different just to please a tiny minority. Just subscribe to the thread and you won't miss a thing. People leaving just because they don't get their way says it all really. Think that’s a case of the pot calling the...

A very wise old man once said to me
“Rules are there to be observed by fools but also for the guidance of wise men”
Make of that what you will

[/quote] I presume you mean the Admin team who set the rules to which everyone signs up? Take it up with them if you aren't happy. Re: NOTAM Thursday 08-09-2022
I also agree with the above. I found it much easier to find the info that I wanted rather than having to troll through lines of posts In the OTT section which are somewhat irrelevant to me. Can we please go back to how it was as the majority seem to want, rather than bow to a pedantic anal minority.
