Re: F22

If they stay on the same ramp, you need to follow the fence line south towards the 05 threshold after parking in the road called Maids Cross Hill. There are ways across the rough ground known as The Warren but following the fence will be easier.

Oh yeah, thanks. It's tiny and not where I'd expect it. Missed it on previous zooms. Even tried the maximum download size without success. Couldn't see anything like that from the roadside.

Nice, side-on view. Did you work out if it said 194 anywhere?

What is it then? That right there is a great example of why more don’t post on here or why so many have stopped, given your posts and your knowledge in said posts, you knew exactly what this was already. I think you're confused. I have next to no knowledge of modern helicopters, especially those fo...

It looks to me as if you are right, according to the official document. The airshows website seems to have copied the GMT times as BST.

Re: Verifying Military Aircraft registration

No idea about cross reference but I should advise always quoting your source when posting and putting something like 'showing as...' if you have no verification.

You may find, if you study the forum, that it is often said that (for example) RAF Typhoons and USN P-8s are a particular problem.

Re: Hercs at Cambridge May 2025

One ex RAF between the hangars to the north of the tower yesterday. Is this the next to be prepared for Bangladesh? Behind it, nose on to crash gate 4 a USMC? Unreadable for me.

Note, you can no longer turn right to CG4 as they have painted a central reservation with double unbroken white lines.

Re: Exercise 5-21 May?

14:23 eastbound over Northampton at 4750' USAF Herc showing as N352MJ on FR24. Apparently from and to Mildenhall via Fairford. I suspect just an MC-130J. Any details please?

Are any even painted in RN colours?
No, they are all painted in “Lightning Force” markings. That’s kind of how a combined fleet works you see.
Never heard of Lightning Force but it's useful to know. No need for the second sentence. If I don't know, I don't know!
