Stunning photo’s loved the Thuds whenever they were over. As for F4 not sure of that nose maybe it’s because I’ve never seen one so shiny. Oh and that 2seat Bird is something else.

Stunning photo’s. One country I would have loved to have visited, that base with the F4’s must have been something to experience. Would have had to 50/50 with Civil as they have stunning painted up airliners that don’t visit the UK.

Was that the year when the F4 Phantom nearly took the heads off the spectators on the Sunday after blowing a tyre and slewing off the runway. I was there on the Saturday but never seen photos of the near disaster.

Re: Planespotting documentary interview opportunities
Some of these comments are so true and so funny but on a serious note whenever TV or Radio covers aviation they always have a knack of selecting the Plane spotter and not the Enthusiast. I've seen it on TV so often and annoys the the proper Enthusiast.

They were in the same weekend as the Bassingbourne Harvard air show. As we were in Cambridgeshire was going to call into the Hall and Heath but decided not to so went home back to Worcs. When I had a call to say the Providers were in I was not happy and missed them so still seen never one.

Loved Greenham there was something about that place. The static was always full of beautiful machines and the flying display was so varied. Early Fairford was also good again with some incredible paint schemes including loads of Tiger paint jobs. Now feel sorry for the younger generation as to what t...
