I see from Scramble the Army Islanders have been transferred to the airforce. Any ideas where they will be based and will 651 sq stay as it is or will it disband , with an RAF sqn being formed??

Re: Australian Air Museum Logs Melbourne Victoria ( PART 2 )

I found Moorabbin, a great collection, but some of the aircraft were looking a bit "tired" shall I say? By far the best items on display were the Beaufighter, Firefly and Venom but such a pity that they were very difficult to photograph.

Re: Australian Air Museum Logs Melbourne Victoria ( PART 1 )

The AP-3C at Point Cook should be A9-751, My last visit was in 2015 just before the announcement was made that a Chinook and Orion were going to be added over the coming months/ years to the collection. If anyone ever gets the chance I can recommend RNAS Albatross/ Nowra FAA Museum for an excellent ...

Re: Based Juno HT1 with 202 Sqn

Hmm, interesting. 202 usually have a Juno visiting for some reason, but its the first time I've heard of one flying under a "Mallard" callsign.

I had heard that the T1's on 100 Sqn would only be doing refresher training, we shall have to wait and see I suppose.

Texan sorties are currently following a fairly standard format of: Launch from Valley General Handling in GH North Circuits at Mona Recovery to Valley. Indeed Nick, at it seems ZM324 gets airborne first as ANGLESEY** then ZM328 then gets airborne as GAUNTLET** to as near as possible follow the same...

Re: T-6 ZM324 airborne

Formally announced that the Texans will be operated under the 72 Sqn banner...makes sense as currently on Tucanos at Linton.
