Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

As long as any military in the hold *cough* B2/ CV-22 *cough* and lost for the Airbus pass then I'll be ok with it, as a good chance to top up the beer tank. However I cant deny that it could have been a LOT better, such as.... As an off the cuff idea it could have been a "joint" Airbus 50th/ BA 100...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

With the F-35 becoming more visible at Air Shows recently on static, Berlin and KB last year and Volkel and Paris this year it does seem strange that none have so far been announced for RIAT, an Italian or Norwegian one would be nice! As nice as it would be to see F-35 static, we’ll be up to our ey...

Re: Another based Juno operating with 202 Sqn?

The word now seems to be that 202 Squadron is going to be joint Juno/ Jupiter (Junopiter) squadron from now on. As for rumours of more Jupiters/ a new type (as mentioned on some FB pages) are currently unfounded it seems.

Re: 2019 Enthusiasts day

Yes, we hold a arrivals/ flypast photo event in the morning from 0900 until 1200 on camp (list is still evolving), then the families event takes place on the sports field from 1200 - 1730-ish Currently down to display are the Typhoon, Tucano and a Spitfire but it is weather dependent.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

Good update yesterday, happy about the Belgian F-16s. According to the confirmed aircraft list. Could mean one from KB and one from Florennes, both have D Day heritage. Potentially means the D Day jet It’d be 1 x 349 Sqn and 1 x 350 Sqns, but they can feel free to bring as many as they want!
