Re: RIAT 2020 - Tickets on sale

In total, including enclosures I ended up paying around £6 more than last year. Not too bad given the price of flights, hotels and trains to also factor in.

Re: RIAT 2020 - Tickets on sale

Referring to the price, not the tickets. They haven't said early bird etc this year. So the limited quantities means at the early bird pricing of £54

RIAT 2020

Tickets for RIAT have gone on sale :) Bit of a change though this year, you won't get e-tickets until 2 weeks before the show.

Loyalty card for the Aviation Bookshop.

Not related to RIAT in any way, shape or form.
Ahh fair enough. I saw it pop up earlier but didn't get a good look at it.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

According to a post on FB... the 2019 loyalty card has a Japanese F4 Phantom on it. Japan announced yesterday they would be at the Air Tattoo with government officials but didn't say anything about aircraft.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

RIAT has had the F-35 for the past 4 years, what a strange example to give. 2016 & 2018 are the only times RIAT has had an F35 though? Volkel got F-35A's, RIAT struggling to get an F-35 at all. Not really struggling. The RAF doesn't have a fully worked up display and the one of the only F35 display...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

Seconded, on both counts ;) There will be a few disappointed people, and I can't disagree... They hyped up this "surprise" flypast so much, and they certainly did surprise us with a shocker...Celebrating 50 years of Airbus with a flypast of more non-Airbus aircraft than Airbus?... :S :S  To b...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

Mini role demo for the F35 Indeed @Ian_Gale. All being well, our F35B “role demo” @airtattoo will involve fast and slow passes, finishing with a decel to hover and pedal turn, before then returning to @RAF_Marham. Should be a great sight for all, and superb opportunity for photos. Great, where did ...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

It was saying dry and cloudy the other day for saturday with little wind.

Saw the Thunder for Sunday.

But as an air-show go'er for 37 years, the best weather forecast is to look out the window on the day (and not even that is certain)

Self confirmed, and confirming to RIAT are two very different things. Don't forget, their self confirm was only for the Saturday. Now they are Friday and Sat with departure Sunday. That is what could have only recently been finalised and why it was not published by DBH. The self confirm is only thei...

There is apparently an F86 Sabre restored to flying in Europe (France?) Would be great to see flying or static.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

As I said elsewhere. BA has a history at RIAT. Both Concorde and the A380 have flown there. If nothing else, it will be a lasting memory of an aircraft that will soon be gone from our skies. I get people want the fast jets, but its just a flypast. Not like it will be taking up a 30 minute segment of...
