Re: Mini tour of Swiss bases and log 7-Jul & 9 Jul 2025

Stans houses many Spanish PC-21’s and a German WTD-61 PC-12 at the moment. Might be worth visiting, as its very close to Emmen and Alpnach

The Mi-8 in the compound should be 10433, which is positioned in the approach of Ferihegy.
For the helicopters, in the last few days Budapest was visited by multiple US Army Chinooks and Blackhawks.

Re: RAF Shawbury 28-29 May

Cheers for the log nice to know there's still some interest there. What's the current situation with the runway and apron works? Is the main runway still blocked with construction vehicles? Shawbury looked more like a construction site than an airbase. The only place without construction works goin...

Thanks for posting the log and seems not too bad of a day out! Could you confirm the Rafale codes of 105 & 364 were actually (EC)33? Or should the have read 30?
They were coded 30-

Re: White House and Qatar discuss transfer of luxury jet for Air Force One

I am not sure how it would work as it would require the sort of "facilities" to be installed that are currently delaying the two VC25B's. I am not sure the current white house team understand that. Frecce Tricolori mid-air collision

https://theaviationist.com/2025/05/06/f ... ntelleria/

3 planes collided over Pantelleria Island, all managed to land. One MB339 seriously damaged when it skidded of the runway. One pilot taken to hospital.

Seems they had a lucky escape, it could have ended a lot worse.
