I was there. There was nothing else from 08.00 till noon.
Apparently there was a drone attack at/near Kubinka earlier on the week which may have been a factor in cancelling the rest of the flypast.

Moscow 9th May Victory Day flypast
Not really an airshow (& truth be told not much of a flypast) but at least the Swifts & the Knights used different frames to 2015 RF-81702/Blue31, RF-81703/32, RF-81704/33, RF-81705/34 & RF-81722/37 (serials not read) Su-30SM "Team Vityazi" RF-91946/Blue02, RF-92810/17, RF-92228/19 MiG-29UB plus RF-...

8 x WPs (the [allegedly broken] CAG not logged but another a/c reported partially visible in the hangar) & 5 CGs read off this morning, serials in due course. About 13 Blue Angels here as well, mainly coded "7". They're flying so perhaps serials to follow. OK, here we go: WP02/164551, WP08/165383 (e...

As the team least attractive to watch & most deserving to be relegated (but what do I know), regular readers may be interested in their takeover by the Friedkin group. The CEO, Dan (lieutenant ??) is a very highly qualified pilot so don't be surprised to see whatever can be dropped from a Spitfire o...

The prta del angel caida of the Retiro on C del Alfonso XII (just up from Atocha) gave a good side-on view last year, the map suggests the same route.

Now we are totally off topic unless damaging a sun shelter counts, so please confirm Israel has drawn Iran into the conflict by allowing the islamic republic to fully finance, train & arm every bunch of murderers in the region?

Re: RAF Chinooks at RAF Akrotiri and other overseas locations?
Up to three British Chinooks were until recently in Jordan, presumably detached from Cyprus, but I noticed two of these on the tracking sites a month or so ago returning to the UK. There may have been a third, and they may have been replaced. ADSB coverage round here ain't what it used to be.

"two Typhoons and a Voyager were up"
Without wishing to comment on R.A.F. active missions, two Typhoons and a Voyager tend to be up from Cyprus around three times each day. Would the world be less safe if they went home?

According to our incredibly reliable English language press only the US Navy & Jordan assisted last night. Fortunately all was over in time to listen to City on the radio.

Today's strike on Yemen was spearheaded by F-15Ds and undoubtedly F-35As & KC-707s.

Re: Cr*p Mil av journalism- A SQUADRON of US stealth jets has arrived in Israel — in a bid to prevent the World War Thr
Eagle eyed (former) Sun reader (when I raided the easyJet waste bins) spots entire squadron of naked (can one still say that?) stealth jets from Tel Aviv (well, it'd be Tel Aviv North for Mr Ryan). (No need to mention they were blocking 260-280, why spoil a good headline).

Re: Ukraine claims first Su-57
Bushande has indeed hit the nail on the head, at the moment the F-35 is in its element in an offensive "package" with 4th gen bombers (F-15 Strike Eagle & derivatives). Just look at what happened in Baghdad where the (R)F-4Gs went in first, then the F-117s then the "mud movers". The "Battle Penguin"...
