Re: Canon EF 70 - 200L or EF 100 -400L?

Just seen this so may have missed the boat. I'm using the new 100-400 with a 7D2, and it's a great combination. I also have the 70-200 2.8 II, and it's the sharpest lens I have. I have tried the 70-200 on my 5D2 (FF) but for flying aircraft and it just doesn't have the reach. Quality yes, but reach ...

Re: Need a New Bag - Thoughts on these 2

Hi Andy, I've got a similar amount of gear, swap the 80D for a 5DII and a Sigma WA for your 50mm. I pushed the boat out for a Think Tank Airport Navigator https://www.thinktankphoto.com/collections/airport-series/products/airport-navigator . With that weight of kit, and for a long day, wheels are t...

Re: Best senser cleaning kit.

Hi Ian, I would suggest you have a go yourself before your US trip to get comfortable with the process, and take the cleaning kit with you. If you change the lens in the wrong place and you get something on the sensor you will be kicking yourself. I always take my cleaning gear on longer trips just...

Re: Best senser cleaning kit.

Hi Ian, I go through the following process, and check after each step to see if the problem is resolved, quite often it just needs blowing, occasionally the brush and very rarely the fluid 1. Air blower on the sensor, and also with the mirror down whilst I'm at it. Also blow the lens. 2. Artic Butt...

I agree with the above. Just buy one. It's a great lens. Bearing in mind that you are likely to have it for years - it's a bargain.

Re: Afterburner photography tips?

Here's the unedited RAW image converted straight to JPG. Some tweaking in Lightroom helps with the burners.

Re: Afterburner photography tips?

Burners always look better in dull light, or against a dark background. This shot was taken in very murky conditions, but the burners become the focus of the shot and turn what would otherwise be an ok shot in to something more. https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5779/22029839633_f450d45fc4_b.jpg F15C ...

Re: Which camera bag for 2 DSLR's ?

I use a Lowepro Stealth Reporter 400D AW https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-IlR2pxJ-8 . 2 bodies with 100-400 and 70-200 vertically, plus space for 2 more lenses. Quick access via top flap. Can't see on Wex, maybe discontinued ? Can see this one on ebay, new at £69. Bargain. http://www.ebay.co.uk/it...
