No Wildcat exercise at Chivenor this afternoon I have personally walked up from my home which is a 15 minutes away and there was no Wildcats on the ground or overhead in the airspace also no ground crew or equipment relating to the exercise involving the 3 Wildcats.

Hello Chivyboy Yes this could be a good move by the Mod Royal Marines such a shame that they hadn't thought of moving some of the current transport away from the former RAF A Flight 22 Squadron Pan and hangar and use that area of the airfield away from all the existing Royal Marines areas of the air...

Many thanks for the info one of these Hawk jets XX 301 was a former Chivenor aircraft having spent some flying time with number 151 squadron with the tail code letter L. Then later it spent some time flying with number 19 squadron also out of Chivenor. :) :cool:

Noted Outside this morning at 0845 hrs were a pair ofwildcats and 1 unidentified lynx the Wildcats were as follows zz375 and zz531 outside in front of a hangar lined up we're several unidetified lynx one of which had a nose number 312. :)

Were the Hawks during the morning and afternoon from 208 Squadron at RAF Valley or were they from St Athan as 4 Squadron are on Attachment during August. :)

I heard a fast jet about 1030am -1045am then again this afternoon about 1330pm- 1400pm may have been one of those tornados that you noted. :)
