Re: Cosford Air Show 2024
I think you’re being a little harsh it did no less than the typhoon with the added hover element included. Fast passes, slow high alpha pass, barrel roles etc. I’m sure there is plenty more they can get out of it in the years to come but for a starting display I think it did well.

Re: RAF Cosford Airshow 2023
I’m fairly certain Cosford had water bowsers, I’m certain I heard on the commentary them been recommended quite often. Also the flying display and times were on the Cosford air show website which is even better for the environment. As for your other points most are very fair.

Re: RAF Cosford Airshow 2023
For me it was a decent day out, weather was a huge bonus best Cosford weather I can ever remember. better than the clear blue of 2018, the almost all sunny 2019 or the fair amount of blue skies in 2022? You're a tough critic! :Wow: To be fair I did say best I can remember not best there ever was :)

Re: RAF Cosford Airshow 2023
For me it was a decent day out, weather was a huge bonus best Cosford weather I can ever remember. There were very noticeable gaps in the display but that’s already been covered in the many unfortunate cancellations unfortunate but can’t be helped. In terms of the displays themselves it often comes ...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread
My guess would be that its purely logistical, at the cosford and midlands air festival the teams fly in whereas from RIAT they tend to operate from Fairford, id imagine getting all the assets in the air at the right time and individually for their own displays etc would make scheduling hard work. Ju...

Re: RAF Cosford Airshow 2023
There are B1’s in the country and I think Cosford have said they have asked, other than that nothing concrete or confirmed.JRandall23 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 7:04 pmI’ve read somewhere else in some comments that there has been chatter of a potential B1 flypast (of some sort) but I couldn’t find any resemblance, has anyone else ?

Re: RAF Cosford Airshow 2023
I wouldn’t be surprised if Cosford manage to pull a couple of flypasts from the B1, should still be here for the date I’d imagine. Pray it's not too cloudy then. Remember the farce that was supposed to be a Buff flypast. I do indeed remember that, the commentary was excellent "and there w...

Probably neither, they tend to operate from Fairford for the weekend, reds do the same for any other displays they have that weekend

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2022 - General Discussion Thread
I find the drama caused by a single cancellation absolutely baffling. "show looking poor compared to previous years" whilst a personal opinion and not one anyone can disagree with as its a personal opinion seems a little harsh. This year appears to have one of the highest airframe count and certainl...

Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2022
Hi, I don’t know a lot about planes but I’m trying to work out the name of an aircraft for my son. We live near Cosford and at around 4pm on Friday (practice day!) we saw an incredible fighter jet fly over and do quite a long display. The noisiest aircraft we have ever heard. It was painted with br...
