Friday morning at Coningsby.

First visit in three years. Was on my way to Cadwell Park to photograph the motorcycle racing. Nice performance departure and always nice to see the mighty 'Wokka'. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53651622758_856b3502f5_h.jpg Typhoon by Jayson Cork , on Flickr https://live.staticflickr.com/65535...

Such a lovely variety of colour the likes of which we just don't get over here anymore.
Looks like a hugely memorable trip, thanks for sharing.

Re: Upgrade to mirrorless or full frame?

Agreed. For landscapes It's D810 at 64 iso all day long. Other than that it depends if you can fill the frame but this has been debated ad nauseum. I have always had a FF body and a crop. First a D600 and D7200 and currently a D810 and D500 and if you randomly picked any of my aviation or motorsport...

Re: Upgrade to mirrorless or full frame?

Never used a mirrorless camera and I will be late to the party, and this being an aircraft forum I'm assuming you want to do flying as well as static. Mirrorless is undoubtedly the future but the technology is increasing at a huge rate whereas you can buy a DSLR that will never be bettered. For me, ...

Re: Displaying/framing Squadron Prints?

Thanks Mike, they look ideal. Trouble is I currently have 14 of them as am in the process of collecting all RAF aircraft from Cold War onwards.
Only done fast jets so far so it won't be cheap.

Re: UK Low flying 1970s, 1980s

Grew up in the town of Aylsham, seven miles from RAF Coltishall. Daily dose of Jag (obviously) plus all the visitors previously mentioned. Overriding memory though is A-10s jinking left and right below the rooftops. They took you by surprise so after you had 'missed' a visual of the lead you would t...

Re: Micro Four Thirds opinions sought

Never used M4/3 but used the 'old' 4/3 DSLR system for years with the brilliant 50-200. Noise was a huge issue at anything above 400 ISO, but the technology has moved on since then. If you check out the' Mach Loop' group on Flickr there's someone using an OM-1 and the shots look superb. Bear in mind...

Displaying/framing Squadron Prints?

Help please!
I have a few of these and am starting a collection.Any ideas on frame options? They measure 438X292 mm so wont quite fit inside A3.
Ideally something with white border but don't want to spend the earth.
Regards, Jay.
