Re: Lakenheath base tour 2nd of August

If you use whatsapp already, I'd have thought that you would have been added to the group. If not, send a text to the number above.

Re: Lakenheath base tour 2nd of August

I've only just found this new thread. I hadn't realised that the old one had been locked! Did a whatsapp group get started? If not, I plan to travel clockwise round the M25 from jct 11, and may be able to car share, if times suit. I shall probably be leaving quite early, to avoid the worst of the tr...

Re: Lakenheath base tour

Did all the 40 people + the reserves send copies of the required id to him and did he then forward this to Lakenheath? I see no evidence of this happening within this thread. Did he organise a coach? Did people send any form of payment for a coach? I suspect organising this tour may have become too...

How do you get onto a base tour group? I'd love to go.
You needed to apply about a year ago.

Re: Daks over Normandy: 2-5 June 2019@Duxford

For the record, 21 Daks departed Duxford, around 16:00L

2 remained on the ground.

Mobile reception was pretty poor, unless you found wifi in a hangar.

Still a great day, though. :thumb:

According to the announcer there were 23 visiting Daks + the one in the
Museum today.
So 11 Daks didn't make it, then?

The last one - N341A - left Oakland, CA for Rock Springs, WY at 21.25 BST. This is a flight of 04.30 so looks like she is on her way East at last.
Interestingly, the one and only Dak designated as a C-41A.
