Re: Exercise Iniochos 2024
Word of warning to anyone going to the museum. Although the museum exhibits are there to be photographed, be careful of turning the camera on any of the based flying a/c (Tecnams, T-41?, PZL Dromaders), security take a dim view of this.

Re: Exercise Iniochos 2024
Payee name can be anything you want, as long as you’ve got the correct IBAN/SWIFT details there shouldn’t be any issues.

It was a 30+ year old aircraft with limited capability. It served well during its service life but was obsolete by the time it was retired.

Meanwhile the RAF pull out all the stops for these memorable schemes https://i0.wp.com/www.aeroresource.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Royal-Air-Force-Eurofighter-Typhoon-FGR4-ZK318-RAF100-29R-Sqn-RAF-Coningsby-030418-Tail-1-NWM.jpg?fit=2340%2C4296 https://cdn.jetphotos.com/full/5/1043457_16864778...

Re: Red Arrows Combine 8.3.24
Something a bit more meaningful for a start, a complete redesign of the tail for one. Looks like it was designed by the same non imaginative dept that did the RAF 100yrs and C-130 retirement designs.

Saudi Hawks upgrade to new aircraft
I haven’t seen mention of this on the forum The Saudi Hawks have recently traded in their Hawk Mk65’s for new Mk165’s and a new colour scheme. https://scramble.nl//images/stories/countries/sa/photos/sa_Hawk_T167_Riyadh_Feb2024_Stephan_de_Bruijn.jpg About time the RAF did the same and rejuvenate the ...

The anniversary markings are typically RAF and so underwhelming.

Re: RAF Scampton Relics
XF995 flew for many years with HHA at Scampton until the Shoreham disaster grounded it. I don't believe any of the other jets ever flew at Scampton, although the Su-22 and Buccaneer both had regular anti-det runs. Many thanks! The F-4 is an ex-German F-4E I believe? 37+89 is a F-4F, there was anoth...

Re: RAF Scampton Relics
Looks like they’ve been removed from what was the base and dumped in the farmers field with as little effort as possible. Doesn’t look promising for them.

Re: Warning!? Waddington and other airfields
You can get pretty close at Gatwick. There's a footpath from the railway station that runs next to the main road at the eastern end, you can get close at the Western end as well. Both good views for landing, not so good for take offs. I’ve looked at Gatwick and both runways have displaced threshold...

Re: Warning!? Waddington and other airfields
Out of interest, how many civil airports can you stand directly behind the thresholds and in the immediate under/over shoot areas. I know of some ie: St Martins, Skiathos, but can’t think of any in the UK.

Re: CAR INSURANCE
I’ve gone from £520 to £860 this month with same insurer. Cheapest on comparison sites is £680, but for basic cover ie: no personal accident cover, no legal cover, no windscreen cover, no courtesy car and an eye watering £1000 excess🥲

Re: Exercise Iniochos 2024
They may be participating in the official flypast but that could easily be done flying from Israel, I would be very surprised, in-fact dumbfounded if they deploy to Andravida due to the current situation in country.

Re: Exercise Iniochos 2024
I’m assuming RAF Typhoons will be operating from Akrotiri, US F-16’s Aviano, French E-3 from Avord, or maybe Souda?
