Re: 2024 Typhoon Display Jet
I bet it will not be seen in German airshows. The WW2 Typhoons caused havoc in Normandy it destroyed the German army when use they cab rank tactics .Fac called waves of Typhoons to attack the German army as they retreated at Falaise . That's why the GAF call there aircraft EF2000 Didn’t the ME262 a...

Re: 2024 Typhoon Display Jet
Must be something wrong with me, as I don’t like it🫤. It just doesn’t look right, the Invasion stripes don’t suit the shape of the current Typhoon, with the fuselage ones looking just plain daft

Re: Argentina to buy 24 Danish F-16
I think I would prefer to take my chances against a 10yr old Mirage than a 40 yr old F-15. The F-16AM is a very capable airframe and in the right hands would be a credible foe even for the likes of a Typhoon/Mirage 2K-5/Gripen.

Well they have to be some of the best shots posted on here…ever. Sharp, perfect colour balance and exposure, brilliant composition, you get the feeling that you could jump into the picture and bebb can part of it .

Re: Argentina to buy 24 Danish F-16
They’ll be some defence chiefs sitting up and taking note of this and dusting off the South Atlantic maps I would imagine. Give it a couple years and the majority of airframes will be sitting in some field rotting away.

Re: Argentina to buy 24 Danish F-16
Are those photos doctored, as it would appear they have actually been delivered and not a case of a just signed agreement? I thought the US we’re going to block this deal as with the inclusion of AIM-120 they deemed it to shift military power in the wrong way and potentially open an arms race down i...

Re: Greece initiates major overhaul of Air Force by ‘selling’ older jets.
83 Blk52+/52M(out of the 90 delivered), are being upgraded to Blk72 “Viper” standard. The Blk30 and Blk50 jets are not part of this program. It was and maybe is still the plan to take the current avionics from the Blk52+/M jets and install into the Blk50’s giving them a very cost effective upgrade. ...

There used to be another group of T-37’s located off the road behind some derelict vehicles, approx 150mtrs further North to where the T-2’s are stored.

Only an idiot would point a scope towards an HAF base , but going by some of the posts on here this week a few did🤔 Lots of spotters visit Greece every year and have done for a long time. With many interesting types still in service and wealth of older wrecks & relics…. Nice food and weather too. T...

It happened early September, some helicopters were affected exact numbers and types have never been disclosed as far as I know. The rest(most), of the helicopters were flown out to Nea Anchialos, Larissa, Thessaloniki and Alexandreia. I thought limited operations were still being carried out from th...

The big problem is security. Terrorism has been the downfall of access - mainly 9/11 but before that it started with the Mill Hill bombing in 1988. Gates were not always manned 24/7 until then after which it was armed guards with loaded weapons. Security due to terrorism is only part of the story, ...

Re: Exercise Iniochos 2024
Extreme caution needs to be taken, the Hellenic Authorities are well aware of the influx of ‘spotters’, attending the two upcoming spotter days at Andravida and security at other bases will be increased accordingly. One thing going up to the chapel as a ‘tourist’, but being caught up there with a ca...

Word of warning to anyone going to the museum. Although the museum exhibits are there to be photographed, be careful of turning the camera on any of the based flying a/c (Tecnams, T-41?, PZL Dromaders), security take a dim view of this.
