Just been informed an A400 has just flown around the vicinity of Edinburgh Castle, then an approach to Edinburgh Airport.

No idea on serial as I never saw it.

Regarding 'Blackjack' -

Is this the nickname of the jet or is it the callsign?

Cloud base is quite high over the Castle, & it's a little lighter than I expected for this time of night.

Does anyone know if there is a Flypast on the 25th? It's not listed on the RAF in Scotland Twitter / X feed - they have the 18th as the last date, but the 25th is mentioned on the first page of this thread & Mrs Vandal read a local news report on the Web last night mentioning the 25th too.

A400 is Tattoo flypast along with pair of Typhoons calling Spartan I think The Tattoo Flypast used what sounded like Venom Formation, but reading other posts , & listening back it could have been, & probably was Blenheim.
