Re: RIAT Disabled Enclosure

Cheers guys!

I'm going on Sunday but will probably take chairs, etc., but leave in the car 'just in case.'

RIAT Disabled Enclosure

I have tickets for the above enclosure and was just wondering if someone had any experience of this enclosure and could answer a query? I'm fairly confident that facilities included tables and chairs in the information before I booked but an email that I have received from RIAT carried a photograph ...

Re: Weston Air Festival 2017- 17th & 18th June

Very enjoyable day in Weston yesterday. I parked on the beach so was caught out by being sent South of the action. I presume the 'Post Shoreham' measure is well intended but there were innumerable numbers of people that I observed failing to be able to push wheelchairs and pushchairs through soft sa...

Re: RAF Cosford Airshow- Sunday 11th June 2017

Thought it was a bit strange that Sally had not cleared before B52 did fly pass .I had scanner on tower and last contact between tower and B52 was cleared for two passes not cleared to pass . I may of miss heard but it was a bit was a bit close ...Don't think the B52 was stopping for anything Sally...

Finally read 'A Higher Call' then 'Wings on my Sleeve' and can gladly state that they are both excellent reads especially if read in that order.

Re: Aviation Enthusiast....Military or Civil???

I spring into action whenever I hear a Chinook or Hercules. Spitfire or Hurricane has an even more dramatic effect. I do quite like watching the Emirates A380 fly over once a day too. There simply aren't the amount of US aircraft or variety these days. I can remember fishing with my Dad in the late ...

Re: Cosford Air Show 2016

Well, it's always good for a day out but: Cancelled, unable to display, technical problem: Falcon's Display Team (40 mins of attempting to get in but a bit dull waiting, imvho). Hangar 11 Mustang (I was looking forward to seeing that one!) Gnat Display Team (Didn't even hear an announcement but did ...

Re: The whole chair, fence, chain issue

I've seen several tents taken down on the Red Section. When you consider that the sign informing people to not erect structures is probably 5-6 metres away from the fence, I never witnessed a disagreement either!

Give an inch and take a mile.

Re: Cosford Air Show 2016

For a day out, even without the flying, it is first class:

Excellent museum
RAF Regiment and Bomb Disposal going through a hands on with their kit
Getting inside a Jaguar

Taxiing Jaguars
Red Arrows
BBMF
New scheme on Peter Teichman's P51
Mig 15
Vixen

£25 well spent!

Re: Muhammad Ali has passed away aged 74

One of my Dad's favourite sportsmen. I suppose I inherited his love for boxing by way of his infectious anticipation of an Ali fight. One of my favourite Ali interviews was his demonstrating the speed of his 'right.' Standing still, he turns to camera and says, "Do you want to see it again?" Pure cl...

Re: The who;e chair, fence, chain issue

The only time I have suffered from 'encroachment' was at Yeovilton last year. I wouldn't mind but I was quite a distance from the fence. We had deliberately set up quite a bit back to give us some room (we were also handily near the toilets, ice cream, etc. Almost unbelievably I actually had someone...

Re: ISS visible passes - ongoing thread

There have been some quite bright, long impressive passes (six minute) over the past few nights and will be doing another three tonight. First one at 2321hrs for me in the Midlands.
