Re: What a fool believes.....
Should people who are responsible for causing Death By Dangerous or Careless Driving be banned from driving for life, or does this only apply to pilots?? If their driving is of such a low standard that they’re killing people whilst doing it, then why shouldn’t they be banned for life. A licence to ...

Re: Top Gun inside the RAF C4
That is because there are no 2 seat variants, except one A.10 which was experimental. There was a proposal for 2 2seat F.22's but it was cancelled. So in the examples Norville described, all first flights had to be single seat. I was simply rather surprised that this was the case with the Typhoon, ...

Very sad to see the footage about S/Ldr Mark Long. As somebody who once worked with Mark, I wasn’t quite prepared for how it would make me feel seeing him on screen at work and talking again, knowing what happened to him shortly after. As you say, very sad. A fine man, who will be forever missed.

Whilst the Navy are exploring the possibility of a cats and traps retrofit, the QEC carriers don’t have them as of now.Starbuck wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 11:13 pmWhy? The carriers are fitted for cat and trap ops.Vulture 01 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 2:54 pmIf we were to have a different version, surely the F35C, with probe and drogue refuelling, would make sense?

How have I never seen your work before Ross?!
Amazing stuff, some brilliant captures there, really enjoyed looking at them and reading the commentary as well.

Re: Top Guns Inside The RAF
Well, in the civvy world when |I was flying the Clubs puddlejumpers, if you hadn't flown for four weeks you had to have a check ride before hiring one out. Given an £80million pound aircraft solo after 3 years no flying??? , no couple of circuits even in a two-seater???What on earth are the twin st...

Should be some night Flying next week for cobra warrior, surprised theyve not extended the opening hours for it. They’re this weeks times, I expect the airfield will be open later next week for the night flying part of the exercise, unless you meant get a bit of night flying in this week in prep? 👍

Re: Rugby World Cup 2023 - RWC
Rugby Union is so technical now you only need to fart at the wrong time to give away a penalty. Accidental head contact results in a sending off - it was accidental so ok a yellow but not a red, rugby is meant to be a collision sport. Rugby is a contact sport, there is no other way for the game to ...

An inexplicably poor Argentina tonight who couldn’t get even the basics right most of the time. Hard to see where England are after playing opposition like that, but at this stage it’s the points that matter, and fair play they took the chance even with 14. The head contact is a difficult one, World...

Commentary inside the station said the F35 display was delayed because of roadside spectators at the runway end (07) needed to be moved but were being ‘difficult’, and the Civil and RAF Police were ‘dealing with it’.

Re: EV battery info
Always wondered why nobody developed a small foldable solar panel. Then you could spread it across the windsreen like a sun-shield, plugging the other end into a slot on the dash so the car trickle-charges itself. Even a few hours during the day while you're working should give a little bit more ra...

Re: EV battery info
New hybrid petrol or diesel cars will still be available to buy after 2030 until 2035 here in the UK anyway, and of course perfectly serviceable used ICE vehicles will be available to buy for at least a decade after that. There’s a lot of fear and scaremongering out there around EVs, particularly at...

I see Tooks is unsure how to stop the small boats Hey, don’t shoot the messenger! 🙂 I was only saying I don’t see how they’ll be stopped unless a different approach is taken, and with more resources. What is being done at the moment is having little to no effect. My link was to try and explain why ...
