A good place to visit.
Very popular, judging by the number of images supplied to local Camera Clubs too.

Re: Facilities

To be honest, I use the A15 and A607 regularly, and wish I didn't have to.
If I were travelling any distance, I'd take the option and head for Coningsby instead.
A much, much better chance of seeing activity.

Re: REDS move to Waddington, facts & rumours

I was stationed at Scampton 88-92 and can confirm first hand that the overhead displays 3/4/5 times daily, coated the cars in a layer of diesel - and, as for the wives complaining about clothes on the washing lines...
Maybe in the intervening 30yrs, the chemicals have become friendlier?

Yuk, but someone has to ask - "When's it going through the loop?"

Re: Facilities at Coningsby

Popped round earlier, that picnic point is wonderful with clean facilities and friendly.
Coningsby and it's close facilities are a great way to spend a few hours, with close to a strong guarantee of activity.

Thought you were going to say Geoffrey Boycott!
Oh no, never - being a Yorkshireman myself; poor Kay was born on the wrong side of the Pennines... bad start!
(Although her saving grace is being an Arsenal fan)

The ignorant, arrogant, self opionated skinbag of an oxygen thief that goes by the name of Kay Burley.

I was stationed at Kinloss at the time (my first year in the RAF) and a few of us made the extensive journey to Lossiemouth for this event.
I remember it well.
My favourite aircraft was the Phantom, in fact, looking at that first image, extreme left, I wonder.....

Re: Time Travellers

Finningley in the 70s.
I grew up close to there, saw so many aircraft daily in and out, and attended Airshows.
That seed generated my love of Aircraft, and my RAF Career for 40 years.
