Kalamata Air Base, in the Peloponnese, Greece, home to 361 Air Training Squadron, Hellenic Air Force. Commemorating 50 years (1963-2013) since formation, it uses Beechcraft T-6A Texan II as an advanced trainer. The graphic on the tail shows Icarus (from Greek mythology) in representing the new train...

Re: Help for the USAF

Where are these lasers sourced from? Where are they imported from? Stop the import and make owning these 'weapons' an offence. The same treatment and legislation as for handguns - with the resultant penalties.

Re: Will Sunak Survive Until The Election

But you were making the case for PR and I am saying that is a recipe for a coalition containing large parties who have dwindling support - that is what PR is , isn't it? Large parties "who have dwindling support" will soon become small parties - once voters have spoken. Under PR even a large party ...

Re: Will Sunak Survive Until The Election

Under PR you would still have two large parties sharing power but also having to deals with far left and far right As you say the Tories will be judged and quite rightly we are likely to have a change of government - under PR however they would still be a large minority in a coalition which is what...

Re: Will Sunak Survive Until The Election

The recurring mess within British politics is a manifestation of an increasingly out of date, antiquated, unfit for modern day governance of a country. Unless and until the British Westminster system of government is replaced by proportional representation , a system whereby seats in the Commons are...

Re: Beginner Tips/Lense reccomendation?

Just getting into the entire Aviation Photography thing, I purchased a fairly "cheap" Cannon EOS400D with an 18-55mm lens (came stock) and I have been practicing around the house on the daily. 1. You made a good sensible start. Next up a 70-300mm Canon lens, if your budget allows go for the 100-400...

Re: Display Harriers

Further to previous posts here:- I've just read the book HARRIER - by Commander Paul Tremelling (RN Ret) and can vouch for the absolute enjoyment of reading this book. The real world authenticity of how he tells and describes flying and fighting this warhorse, is second to none. Brilliantly written ...

South Africa 16 - England (Owen Farrell) 15 Says it all. Farrell played a Captain's game and he proved why he is the Captain! The Springboks should pay their respects to their guardian angel, or whatever deity, and consider themselves lucky. We were robbed! :grr: :( :D Then coming Friday against the...

Ireland and France can still make the final, they just have to buy tickets.

Re: Rugby World Cup 2023 - RWC

The host nation France is out. England has done very well in reaching the semi-finals, the only northern hemisphere country still in the tournament - and well deserved! England beat Fiji convincingly, when many gave Fiji hopes of walking over England. On a good day nothing can just walk over the aul...

Re: Rugby World Cup 2023 - RWC

The Springboks v France match will go down as one of the best matches of the Rugby World Cup 2023 tournament! Although the Boks won by just one point, the fast paced game, the commitment on both sides, an epic try by Bok No 4 (Etzebeth) after his return from the cooler ... A brainy, innovat...

The semi-final (2) next Saturday, in Stade de France, awaits the team from 'The Land of Hope and Glory'

to be played against

the Springboks (my prediction)

What are you saying?

As we can all see, the war is ongoing with no end in sight, and therefor "helping the Ukrainian people" is ongoing (weapons, ammunition, operating costs and wear and tear on RAF assets .. and .. and .. ) How do you square your headline with your four word post?

Re: CW23-2 My take : updated Fri 29 Sept.

Is this a last look from the A607 side? Surely after much delay this must be departure day for the Canadians?! Taken before 08.00 this morning, I thought to catch the CC-177 and the three visible CF-188's with the early morning mist and a orange tint denoting the rising sun (out of view) to the left...

Yep, lovely to see and hear things done in a different way, to the somewhat sterile offerings locally. Keep us posted! :thumb:
