Liverpool Airport Monday 16 April 2018 - Primus Flight
A nice ILS approach with a low approach and go around on runway 27. Showing as ZD848 (109) and ZA614 (076). These aren't going to be around much longer, so a few pics. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/800/40786356164_c132b6b0af_h.jpg Tornado GR4 Pair - Primus Flight by Paul Owen , on Flickr https://fa...

Quick question regarding my Sigma 120-400mm
Hi, I have had this lens for nearly 12 months and I use this with my Canon 40D. I have noticed that the images come out rather dark and I have to brighten them using Lightroom. Is this a usual thing or/how do I compensate for a lens of this reach? I usually shoot at 8.0 and the ISO is dependant on t...

RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall 10th and 11th May 2017
Not posted on here for a while but I managed to escape during a mid week break to Center Parcs. Sadly it appears I have forgotten how to photograph military aircraft. Heat haze at Lakenheath was pretty bad and my positioning was all wrong too. https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4171/34596794556_f4d0729eb...

Re: Peed off
Thanks guys. Looks like an increase of F15s at Lakenheath will be great, plus anything else that turns up.
Ill have to remember it is supposed to be a "family holiday" though ;-)

Peed off
Having booked a family stay at Center Parcs at Elevden Forest, I was happy when I saw the F35s and that they would be at Lakenheath for a month. I go on Monday and the F35 have broken off home! It would have been a bonus but when I was last at the same Center Parcs in February 2016, Lakenheath was o...

Camera body or Lens?
Hi,
I'm thinking of upgrading, but not sure if I should upgrade my Canon 40d or my Sigma APO DG 70-300. Budget £300-400ish.
Any suggestions please??
Thanks,
Paul

Lovely shots! Im up there on Holiday nearby from 30th July til 6th August, hoping to get a few sneaky trips in :)! Matt Sadly there will be no fixed wing ops from Valley from Wednesday 27th due to the crossover of the runways being resurfaced. I think Hawks are going to St Athan and the daily civvy...
