VP-45 P-8A - Lossiemouth 17 April 24

Superb evening light at Lossiemouth yesterday for the departure of VP-45 P-8A 168855/LN-855 following a period of deployment in Scotland. The aircraft departed south (Sigonella?) as Pelican 19. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53660968882_294b8a9e18_h.jpg 168855/LN-855 P-8A US Navy/VP-45 'Pelican...

Nice of them to taxi out in numerical order for you Tom.

Leuchars - Qatari Hawks

Paid a quick visit to Leuchars last week to catch the Qatari Hawks in temporary residence due to works at Leeming. Pity the weather wasn't playing ball but nice to see some fast jet activity in Fife once more. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53609131575_5547d75950_h.jpg ZB131 Hawk Mk167 Qatari E...

A few from Lossiemouth - Feb 2024

Nothing earth shattering, jut a few from a couple of recent visits up to Lossiemouth. Nice to see the Aussie Wedgetail passing through on its way back home from a deployment to Europe. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53535592360_f6e9ec37b2_h.jpg ZP803 Poseidon MRA1 heads a nice line of RAF P-8s ...

Prestwick - Arrival of the RAVN Hawks

The forecast sunshine didn't materialise yesterday for the arrival of the four RAVN Aerospace (ex RoKAF) Hawk Mk.67s from Keflavik, Iceland. All four arrived around 1330L as 'Harbinger 11-14' and night stopped before heading off to Lakenheath this morning. Hopefully these will be a common sight in U...

Splendid stuff mate but what have they done to that Harvard! Can't wait to see stuff when you have got to grips with it.

Re: Prestwick 01/10/23

Nice shots and a very tidy paint job. I wonder if they’ll paint one of these new A330s in the retro scheme that we saw on the A310 at RIAT last year? Dan, from what I've read so far this is the only example that will be painted in a hi-viz scheme. The remaining examples are planned to be painted in...

Prestwick 1 October 2023

Good to see 330002 the Canadian Husky (CC-330) at Prestwick yesterday evening. Plenty of folk around for the arrival but not many to be seen when it returned to East Midlands just after 6pm. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53229543284_758335b5d7_h.jpg 330002 CC-330 Husky Royal Canadian AF/437 Sq...

That's a cracking photo, Tom, probably the best I've seen so far of the RAF's pair of Envoys. :thumb:

Aberdeen (EGPD) - 31 August 2023

Got my jobs done yesterday morning then popped up to Aberdeen in the afternoon to catch Envoy IV CC1 G-ZABH arriving from Brize Norton. Must say it made a very nice change to shoot something in lovely sunshine! 'BH arrived as KINGFISHER17R and departed around an hour later for Northolt. https://live...

The first three Canadian Hornets for CW23-2 arrived at Prestwick around 1845L Monday 28th August as CANFORCE0851 Flight. The aircraft positioned to Prestwick and night stopped prior to hopping across to Waddington today (Wednesday 30th) prior to their participation in Cobra Warrior 23-2. The Hornets...
