Re: Athens Air Show

If you really want to go then just do Friday, Saturday & Sunday. You'll get the bulk of the arrivals, a full show (practice) on Friday and two full show days. Get up a wee bit early for Saturday or Sunday for a jaunt around the static and job done. No reason was given, no apology was given either.....

Leuchars - 17 April 2025

A rather damp afternoon at Leuchars for the arrival of Jigsaw 01, 02 & 03 from Wattisham. Quite a sight to see these three coming down the approach, memories of Herk formations roaming Scotland in past years. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54461783495_31eb57d24f_h.jpg ZM421 A400M Atlas C1 by To...

Re: Exercise Iniochos 2025

Another question from me - sorry. Did anyone manage to get a serial for the blanked-out Makos F-16? Not sure what you mean by ‘blanked out’ ? However at least a couple of aircraft in the ‘Have Glass’ finish are extremely difficult to read dependant on sun angle. All the aircraft yesterday were read...

There seems to be a directive from Greek HQ to avoid the Vouraikos low flying area next week. Source should be 338 Sqn at Andravida, reason is thought to be safety related (area became to popular/crowded).
5 x Greek F-16 through today.

Great to see those, thank you for taking the time to post them. Twelve aircraft were deployed by the 474 TFW/429 TFS under Coronet Crusader from 21 May - 19 June 1985. Re: Mirrorless, electronic and mechanical shutters

Will that not introduce rolling shutter on props? I’m sorry for probably daft questions but with this issue on these new mirrorless cameras is it now in practical to use a mechanical shutter on fast moving subjects like we have for years on DSLRs, because the EVF can’t keep up? No apology needed, v...

So after so experimenting the the ES works well however trying to pan with a moving subject using the MS is nearly impossible because there is so much lag in the viewfinder. Is there a setting to minimise this that anyone has found?
