Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
Also F-5E J-3080 was on the flightline Could that be the one that was hangared and should still be there as 8 arrived but only 7 departed? Mike I didn’t note J-3088 departing on Monday but did spy an F-5 tucked away nose on in the hangar so assume that’s the one along with the two Danes. Hth Simon

Re: acars.adsbexchange
Thanks Eggman and Slogen51 for the links…duly bookmarked. It seems the search Icon disappears simply clicking on messages. I guess as TBG is still feeding Airframes a lot of his knowledge is hopefully being passed onto the sires developers…if it ain’t broke, why fix it sort of thing. I really liked ...

Hi All Firstly, many thanks to Thebaldgeek for all his excellent work..what a site you created…superb!! So I have moved over to Airframes and, sadly, nothing seems to load for me either. It probably doesn’t help that at present there is no (seeable) way of filtering down to a specific satlink or sim...

Might not be of use given your approximate years but 37431 was at Waddington on 29/06/1996.

Re: REQ Yeovilton - 7 March 2019
Hi John
As promised the two Chinooks I scoped off were:
ZH893
ZH904
I "think" 893 was on the ramp whilst 904 was tucked between the two hangars but visible from the steps of the Museum.

Re: Yeovil (Westlands) Sightings Spring 2019
Morning Simon & Steve - I was present around 2pm on Thursday 7 March. The SAR as described above was seen. Norwegian serial was covered. As I left a number of people embarked and on ADSB a short while later 43C7E1 appeared, which has been identified as ZZ106. Trust that sorts it. No doubt others on...

Log 7th
Noted today at c16:0” were:
ZZ549 Wildcat
Unid Merlin engine running eastern end. Have a feeling this was probably ZZ106 but was tail on to us. If anyone can confirm that would be great.
Best regards
Simon

Re: Typhoons 2006
I noted ZJ918 as QO-L on 30/10/06.
The closest date I have noted for ZJ915 is 06/03/06 when it was indeed coded BY.
Hope this helps

Req: Leeming 24/08/1993 RNLAF F-16
Hi Still committing old logs to my database and I come across a query for the following date. I logged 6 RNLAF F-16A's on that day at RAF Leeming. Five of those match with those in BARG but I have one which doesn't. I logged J-218 as being in special 322 Sqn 50th Anniversary marks, whereas BARG have...

Re: KC330 28/06/2015
I’ve had a look using the playback on Planefinder and think you can discount ZZ334 as that routed in over Hastings and onto Biggin before turning west so would of been quite a bit to the west of you.
You don’t give a time so it makes it a bit awkward to give an idea of what you saw.

Req: Exercise Name: Waddington 4th June 2001
Hi All I know that Exercise Nomad took place at Waddington in July 2001 but on the 4th June that year I noted 9 Swiss FA-18's (same ones noted 27/05 - on the way to the last Mildenhall :'( ), 7 BAF F-16's plus C-130 support and a number of Cottesmore GR-7's. I have all of these logged and the only m...

Re: Tactical Fighter Meet 1986 at RAF WADDINGTON.
Hi Dave Had a look through the logs. Can confirm that FA-23 did indeed join the flight line out of the hangars. I have nothing on the others but wonder (I doubt it though) if what you thought was the twin boom of a Sherpa was actually the tail of Optica G-BYLZ. Very doubtful but it’s the only twin-b...

Got my tickets last night for both the Friday and Saturday shows as the only ones I can do. Accommodation...well I think one man and his dog has already pre-booked. Ended up with a Premier Inn in Oxford!! Still, closer than travelling back to North Derbyshire. Already looking forward to it. Cheers S...

Cracking log as always Captain.
I also have ZK352/BV logged for yesterday which I believe was dragged out just before the Chipmunk went up.
Did anyone else not this at all please or was I having "a moment"?
Cheers

Re: Review of Day
I know this is a military forum so expect a lot on here are only interested in the military hardware on show and have been spoilt rotten by RIAT, but...if you look at it PURELY from an aviation related point of view, the static was actually a very good mix. The flying was also varied with something ...
