'Clean' v 'Gold' v 'Blue'...and so on

Hello. I have noticed that different call signs are often used for what I assume are different types of mission - but I have no idea what they mean! In the last couple of weeks at Mildenhall we have had tankers cin an out calling 'Blue,' 'Gold' and 'Clean.' Most people on these boards seem to know w...

Re: Lakenheath spotters carpark

Been going since the mid 1970s. The Phantoms were residents then (as they were at Woodbridge and Alconbury). Remember a couple of deployments - F100s and F105s I think. Visitors (there seemed to be a lot more in those days) were F4s from Soesterburg, Bitburg, Ramstein and Spangdahlem, while there we...

Re: Request: List of resident Hercs present on 12th September

Really finding it difficult to believe that no one else from the Forum noted down the resident C-130s on that day...... A little bit disappointed really That's a very OTT reaction, and rather unnecessary. Perhaps no one did note them down? I highly doubt someone in this forum has the list you requi...

Re: Car park

I must have been parked near you as I was also parked up on the left hand side.

Didn't their used to be signs saying don't park here because it's a Site of Special Scientific Interest? When did those come down?

Lakenheath viewing area open?

Hi all

I know John's field is currently closed, but is the viewing area at Lakenheath currently open?

Also does anyone know what the government rules currently mean for spotting? I'd be driving from London, but not sure if the current regulations would allow it.

Re: A10 65 Field access

If we lose this spot, is there any particular place on Maidcross Hill where you can at least see any visitors? Any time I have been up there, there seem to be buildings in the way and it's difficult to count exactly how many are there without being sure you are avoiding duplication.
