Job No. 1: get that bl@@dy cr@ppy sticker off :Wow:
Job No.2: roll it up, put in a box and send to you Patrick so you can ceremonially burn it! This year we have the NATO Ann. one. Anyone like to hazard a guess as to what next year's will be?

Re: Tims RIAT 2019

Some great pics there. At least the weather has given you a very dramatic Harrier take-off pic! Also liking the landing pic of the MiG-21 Lancer. What a difference a day makes as someone once said.

Re: tc`s RIAT 2019 - The Airshow that never was....!

Very decent results in the circumstances. Saw how dire the weather was on y'day's Forces News report from the event which made me shiver. Like the juxtaposition of the two MiG-21 Lancers.

Re: RIAT Arrivals 2019 - Live Thread

Am liking all the special schemes so far which will hopefully show up the RAF's current penchant for small stickers. We're definitely going to be the plane Janes of the event!

Re: A look back @ Leeming F3s

Another a/c type pensioned off far too early. Roger ......and just when it had v. belatedly reached its true potential with fire + forget missiles (AMRAAM + ASRAAM) which enabled it to achieve parity with the F-15! F3, Harrier, Jaguar, Nimrod MR4. The list is embarrassingly long so well done Conser...

Morning Patrick. Another good haul there. Pretty sure #11 was taken @ Coningsby in '88. Liking the formation pics esp. #2.

A look back @ Leeming F3s (+1 extra)

As it is evident from a recent post on this forum that there is still a lot of love out there for the Tornado F3 I have pleasure in presenting this collage of Leeming F3s down the decades. As RAF bases go Leeming offers a nice backdrop of the N.York Moors which is shown to good effect in pic no.7. T...

Re: Enquiry re - US based Canberras

They hadn't flown for "many years" and that was according to a post in 2013: https://www.pprune.org/archive/index.php/t-515052.html Thanks for the heads up. Thought it was too good to be true for them to have lasted so long altho' they obviously did put in a shift with Air Platforms Inc. over there.

An excellent set that you have there. I love number one, great light.
Seconded. Reminds me of one I took myself once upon a long ago. The Commando assault finale is always one of The photo ops. of the year.

Both registrations were cancelled by the FAA in January 2019 but I can find nothing more.
Thanks for that info. Guess they've finally been retired. Surprised they kept flying for so long given they were sold in '97/'98! They obviously did nt owe the buyers anything!

Enquiry re - US based Canberras

Two Canberras were exported to the States in the '90s; WT327 + XH567, registered as N30UP + N430UP and operated by Air Platforms Inc. Lakeport Ca. Then by High Altitude Mapping Missions Inc. Spokane Wa. Does anyone know if they are still operational? Have surfed the web to try & find the answer w/ou...

Enquiry re - US based Canberras

This is probably a long shot but I'm constantly impressed by the extent of members knowledge so here goes. Two Canberras (WT327 + XH567) were exported to the USA in the '90s registered as N30UP + N40UP and operated by Air Platforms Inc of Lakeport Cal. but more recently by High Altitude Mapping Miss...

Some nice catches there (altho' not quite as good as that Kiwi one y'day) esp the Alize. Yeovilton is one of my favourite shows. Must remember to catch some clips on Forces News.

Newest and ugliest (see 2nd pic). Barn doors everywhere. No criticism of yr pics intended. Just consider it probably the least prepossessing aircraft design ever. Irrespective of its undoubted capabilities it will never win a beauty contest. If ever there was an aircraft designed by a committee then...

Quite possibly T.IX NH414/DB-E/G-CICK which flew south at about that time but has a late Merlin 266 which may sound like a Griffon ?
Thanks for the info David. Any idea where it had been?
