Re: Marham Opening Hours - June 2025

Thank you, Evergreen.

ZM135/ZM136/ZM138/ZM143/ZM165/ZM170/ZM173/ZM174/ZM175 all in the States then.

Be good for the 3 early frames to make it over. Need to tick them off :D

Re: Marham Opening Hours - June 2025

Do they usually do a delivery flight with 2 tankers? Or maybe it depends on the number of F-35s being delivered. There are quite a few in the US. Be interesting to see how many make it over.

Do they still have an A400M for SAR cover as well?

Any sight of ZM173 do you know?

Yes. It was flying last month.
Thank you. Here's hoping a delivery not too far away then.

Re: Strategic Defence Review - 2025

If they are adamant about going down the tactical nuclear weapon route (doesn't make sense to me), then F-35A really is the only option*. I don't think Typhoon has been cleared on it nor F-35B. *unless they are about to develop a brand new tactical free fall weapon. I hope that this F-35A announceme...

“Up to” 12 SSN-AUKUS attack submarines to be ordered.

This will definitely get cut down.

Re: Strategic Defence Review - 2025

Great reading I think! This is all rumours but at this stage before release it's essentially fact. Don't expect any specifics tomorrow in regards to units and numbers. That all comes in the Defence Command Paper released this Autumn and with all things, the devil is in the detail. F-35A acquisition ...

Rumoured to be published within the next few weeks, but supposedly with little detail on the specifics (unit numbers etc) until the Autumn.

Re: CSG25 - Marham Jets

Thanks RubyRoo, Yes, that seems to be the accepted understanding on the early airframes being replaced as it makes sense for later developmemt work to be done with TR-2/TR-3 spec. machines which is now more prevalent A bit disappointing that TR-1's are effectively time-warp spec. which is bound to ...

Re: CSG25 - Marham Jets

Good Evenning, Given the earlier mention of limited upgrades available for the TR-1 airframes can anyone please confirm which UK serial a/c this would apply to ? If ZM144 and ZM145 have been upgraded from TR-2 to TR-3 presumably that limits the TR-1 airframes to ZM135 to ZM143. Potentially would th...

Re: CSG25 - Marham Jets

Great update again, thanks slogen.

Do 17sqn operate from Pax as well then? Or is ZM170 on loan to a USN test sqn or something for weapons integration? I know they've done the Meteor missile testing from Pax.

Re: CSG25 - Marham Jets

Thank you. I assume it's the TR-2 to TR-3 update but genuinely don't know. I was told that our TR-1 jets are unable to be upgraded to the latest standard but the TR-2 batch will be. The Tranche 2 F-35B order will all be Block 4. https://www.flightglobal.com/defence/uk-to-take-first-tr-3-standard-f-3...

Re: CSG25 - Marham Jets

I appreciated the great record, slogen. Thank you. Nothing you posted is secret information or even sensitive. I see no ALTRV has been posted yet for anything coming back from the States so I assume the 30th is off for a delivery. Friday is a distant possibility but they'd have to get going very ear...

Re: CSG25 - Marham Jets

Looking forward to it but invariably they turn up via Lajes when it is dark! Rumours doing the rounds saying ZM170,ZM171,ZM144,ZM145 But I have yet to see a voyager go west unless there is already one there? ZZ330 is currently westbound but as Ascot 2216 - oh! Ascot 2216 did go to Fort Worth Allian...

Be interesting to see if the rumoured end of April/early May "delivery" (old aircraft) is still intact and which frames it will be.
