Re: UK G7 2021- Tittle Tattle

Seems strange that no Chinooks have turned up at Northolt, unless I've missed them being reported, so I think either your options b or c, or e, CV-22s from Mildenhall? Personally, I'm hoping for option b .... Reportedly two RAF Pumas due at Heathrow today, with the two VH3s from Northolt and two Po...

Re: UK G7 2021- Tittle Tattle

If the President and First Lady were flying by helicopter from Mildenhall to Cornwall why would the schedule have them arriving at Newquay? Surely they would go direct to their residence for the night. They must be using Air Force 1 from Mildenhall in to Newquay, whether it's a VC-25 or C-32. Then h...

Re: New "RAF" A321NEO (G-XATW)

The second one has just been registered as G-GBNI, for Great Britain & Northern Ireland. So I can see this being used by the RAF also. I presume the first one, G-XATW, stood for Across all the world? Will these be based at Brize Norton?

Re: Top five aircraft moments

This is a great thread, really enjoying reading everyone's memories. Very hard to pick just five... 1. A 30 minute flight in Spitfire MJ627 out of Biggin Hill as a surprise 50th Birthday present from my family. Included 11 minutes hands on where I did a wide arc around the Dartford Bridge, with grea...

Re: No Sentinel R1 for RAF Museum

Surely the fact that only 5 were ever in service will make them a very rare item for a Museum, and if possible one should be saved for future generations to see, before they are all broken up?

AH-64 Apache over Heathrow 12 August 2020

Hello,

An AAC Apache flew low along the south side of the Southern runway around 7pm yesterday evening west to east, turning south after passing terminal 4.

Does anyone have an I.D. for this please.

Thank you in advance,
Derek.

REQ : Spanish AF Puma tie-up LPA 08/03/94

Hello, hoping someone can help for a friend....whilst on holiday in Las Palmas he saw two Spanish AF Pumas on 08/03/94, coded 802-04 and 802-05. I've managed to tie up the former to HD.21-10 (hope that's correct) but cannot find the second.

Any help appreciated.

Many thanks,
Derek.

Re: Krakow Airport 28/12/19

If you have a car, these can be read off from the other side of the runway. Just park in one of the obvious laybys before you reach the bend/brow of the hill.

Good luck,
Derek.

I think you'll find that 0173 are Hertfordshire Air Ambulance MD900s, and certainly not "US Coastguard Helicopters over the Pacific Ocean" !

Re: Info Waddington 29/08/19

From the WAVE area some of the Germans are obscured, but all can be seen through the trees by walking southbound along the A15 fenceline.
