On video posted this morning the front gear on one of the bombers looked to be smoking prior to take off.
3 minutes 15 into Jonathan Warner’s video shows it quite clearly. https://youtu.be/lSVT8uJvnwI?si=l_R-v0F0F2EVR4CE

Re: Fire training centre and the morning rush

Can you elaborate on what facilities are being provided by "the Estate Manager at the 02 end" please? Not seen any mention of this before (only the layby open in Tower Lane). I’m quite surprised the local landowners don’t see this as an opportunity to make money. John’s field at Mildenhall being a ...

Re: UK Seeking Adversary Jets Once Again

:thumb: With credit to DTV Movements " Draken are planning on supplementing the based Falcon fleet with 4x Aero L-159E ALCAs. They are Czech-built fast jets that look very similar to a Hawk. Draken exclusively operate the "E" model, which is the export version of the single-seat "A" model. ALCA stan...

Did any of the F18s go low level this week? I tried to bag them on Wednesday and blanked. Last year they flew a dusk navex every day.
Two Hornets went low level yesterday (Monday) on the 14:30 launch. They tracked west out of Leeming and were cleared down to 500 feet. Suspect LFA17

Any sorties due today,I know thy have flown on a Saturday before and there is a LARG heading up north with no visable receivers showing as of yet ??
Looking at the NOTAM it doesn’t look like there’ll be any weekend flying throughout the duration of the exercise, unfortunately.
