Re: VC-25 Mildenhall

The question is, "is John insured to let his field out to the public?" Don't get me wrong when I ask this. I do admire his patience and generosity and certainly don't begrudge the tiny fee charged to park on his land. However, in this day and age of "blame & claim", by leaving that trailer out he is...

Super images and that last one is funny
Would've been even funnier if John had hitched up his tractor and towed the trailer away, with them all on it

Re: The Buccaneer Aviation Group

Sounds a really promising future, and at a great airfield too (makes a change to see aircraft as a backdrop instead of thousands of cars & vans). Well done and wishing you every success. :thumb:

Re: What counts as "Spotting" an aircraft?

My question may be a little difficult to answer but on various Websites like Y@@ T@@E, There is mention that the hobby is split into various types of Spotter like for example, the spotter who likes taking Photos, theres the spotter who likes logging serial numbers/ registrations etc, What if like m...

There's been no mention of the E-4s' whereabouts? It's usually somewhere in the neighborhood when POTUS is over here?

Too right Patrick. We should organise a reunion booze up/barby on John's field to commemorate the Fete.

If you do decide to hit the Loop, don't forget your coat. Even on a nice day you'll need it with you, the weather can change so quickly up there.

I think it looks hideous, as if the new colour scheme has been coddled together in a hurry. "Boris 2" to go with the "Boris 1" holiday jet.

Re: Mach Loop possible?

Go to Lakenheath bud, at least there you're guaranteed to see something for your efforts, you'll have a much better day there. The Loop is very hit and miss, especially in this day and age, where there are fewer aircraft around to see (and more punters fighting each other to see them). I personally ...

Re: It was 20 years ago today

Air Fete was (I would say) "Iconic". It wasn't necessarily just the aircraft in the static or the flying display - it was a pain to photograph, facing the Sun. There was much more to it than that, basically Mildenhall Air Fete was the premier event that kicked off the season, it had its' own unique ...

Re: Caroline Grace

Cheers Guys, came across this while delving through my "older efforts". It was taken at the Sywell airshow in 2014, the event where the much anticipated "Vera & Thumper" failed to show up because of the high winds. Despite this setback it turned out to be a great display with the rest of the partici...
