Re: NOTAM 17-9-20

I disagree with you Raski, the USAF care very much about who has access to their FPL's. Otherwise they wouldn't be `Status Protected`, which means that only those with a professional need to know should have access to them. Leaking FPL details to all and sundry around the world could land you in a l...

Hi Not sure if Lord Luxton of Fairford has records of theses frames visiting the UK back in the day, or indeed anyone else with information. Stewart Ha,ha, some nice additions Stewart. Saw 56-6680, 700, 701, 707, 714 and 716 at Wethersfield in '75 and 56-6722 at RAE Bedford in '67. 80-1098 did go t...

I live on the old flight path to RAF Alconbury (Oundle) and I remember seeing a SR-71 on approach.
I filmed an SR-71 make a PD to Alconbury when there was a deployment of Shaw RF-4C's there.

Re: U-2 68-10345 Mildenhall 18/1/1975

Hi all, The above U-2 was noted at Mildenhall by my dad carrying this spurious serial in 1975. Does anyone know it’s real identity? I believe it may have visited multiple times on its way to and from Cyprus. MTIA David I also saw a "68-10345" at Mildenhall a few days after you're dad but I suspect ...

Re: BTF/ Ample Strike 2020 General Information

Reckon these will be `Ample Strike` participants - an exercise which is traditionally supported by AFRC's 307BW at Barksdale. Although these B-1B's are 7BW a/c based at Dyess the 307th's 489BG/345BS also operate from Dyess and share flying the 7th's Bones when required. In Sep 2016 2 Dyess B-1B's we...

On Thursday evening one of the B-52s was engine running when clouds of white smoke was exhauted. A few later there was a compressor stall. I didn't note the number. Maybe this one.
That was 60-0044 Chris.
