Re: Memories of the Mighty One

Some nice shoots there sir.

I wonder how many souls on this earth are here because of the long rescue missions they flew, coordinating with other assets to complete those missions.

They beat up the Linslade end of Leighton Buzzard moments later at no more than 500ft   Magnificent sight and sound. Most annoying thing was my blasted camera refused to focus and take the shot :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: I feel your pain. Mine did the same at Duxford. Did all the "pre flig...

Re: What is your top 3 aircraft of all time

Choosing just three is just plain tough ... here's mine though ... 1. Supermarine Spitfire 2. Rockwell B1B 3. Blackburn Buccaneer And now apologies to the Lancaster, Vulcan, Hurricane, E.E Lightning, Tornado, TSR2, Concorde (not Mil I know but), A7 Corsair, F14, F15, to name but a few that are also ...

Re: RAF 100 Flypast

A few of us were at the top of St Pauls, Golden Gallery, about 350ft ASL. Queuing takes about 15 minutes and you n...

Re: Tapatalk - does anyone use it?

For me Tapatalk was the better solution for viewing FC on a mobile device. I know there are many opinions on the continuing evolution of the user interface of Tapatalk but in fairness you cant keep all of the people happy all of the time. Until a few days ago it worked very well too but, as per the ...

Re: B-1

Plus it was very much designed to fly low using terrain as a mask, therefore effectively under the radar! Thats correct, same as the Vulcan. The Vulcan was originally a high altitude platform for nuclear weapons delivery I believe. It change to low level after the SAM threat became such that the hi...

Re: North Korea considers strike on Guam

Do I need to build an Anderson Shelter in my Garden yet? You wouldn't need an Anderson Shelter. Follow these guidelines in the event of a Nuclear exchange .. Loosen any tight clothing / belts / ties etc. Remove any sharp objects from pockets Remove glasses / eye wear Sit down on the floor Bend your...
