Sounds like the chicks are using the C/S "Bomber 1 / 2" - very short sharp comms on 243.650. Not the usual chit chat!

Also evident by the lack of comms from the base - not like it was 10 years ago :(

Perhaps not as busy as last night but none the less making up for a rather dull day activity wise. Refuelling active on 264.350 with Tartan.

For Sale: Icom IC-A6E Airband Transceiver

As new, in mint condition, I am selling this airband transceiver for a friend. It comes complete with helical whip, instruction manual, belt clip and stand in charger. I've not tested the TX function as I am not licensed so please keep this in mind if you are looking. In RX the radio is pretty much ...

This modification eliminates the muting you get on each tuning step. It keeps the audio on the entire time instead of blanking out with silence giving you that chuff-chuff sound. It gives the tuning controls more of an analogue feel and greatly enhances the enjoyment and usability of the DX-394.

I bought it from eBay some 5/6 years ago. I have undertaken the antichuffing mod which eradicates the annoying noise when browsing through f...
